Nineteen years have passed since the pioneering work by the US Army in adapting diatomaceous silica to water filtration for the military field force of the nation. Much water has since passed under the bridge, and these articles suggest that some of it has also passed through diatomite filters. Supported by additional knowledge, diatomite filters, properly designed and intelligently applied, could become increasing contributors to more and better water for all of us.
