Enhanced second-harmonic generation from magnetic resonance in AlGaAs nanoantennas.
TL;DR: AlGaAs-on-aluminium-oxide all-dielectric nanoantennas with magnetic dipole resonance at near-infrared wavelengths are designed and second-harmonic generation exceeding 10(-3) efficiency with 1GW/cm(2) of pump intensity is predicted.

Interband cascade Lasers with AlGaAsSb cladding layers emitting at 3.3 µm.
D. Díaz-Thomas,Oleksandr Stepanenko,Michael Bahriz,Stephane Calvez,Eric Tournié,Alexei N. Baranov,Guilhem Almuneau,Laurent Cerutti +7 more
TL;DR: An optimized structure emitting at 3.3 µm achieves an internal quantum efficiency of 65% per stage in good agreement with conventional ICL using InAs/AlSb superlattice cladding layers, in spite of internal losses of 15 cm-1 due to higher optical losses in the n-type AlGaAsSb alloys.

Enhanced second-harmonic generation from magnetic resonance in AlGaAs nanoantennas
Costantino De Angelis,Andrea Locatelli,Luca Carletti,Davide Rocco,Oleksandr Stepanenko,Giuseppe Leo,Ivan Favero,Aristide Lemaître,Giuseppe Marino,Nicolas Olivier,Anatoly V. Zayats +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, cylindrical AlGaAs-on-aluminium-oxide all-dielectric nanoantennas with magnetic dipole resonance at near-infrared wavelengths were designed.
Subsurface disorder and electro-optical properties of proton-exchanged LiNbO 3 waveguides produced by different techniques
Sergey Kostritskii,Yuri N. Korkishko,Vyacheslav A. Fedorov,V. P. Mitrokhin,O. G. Sevostyanov,I. M. Chirkova,Oleksandr Stepanenko,M. P. De Micheli +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, it has been established that proton-exchanged LiNbO3 waveguides have a marked subsurface layer with structural disorder inducing degradation of electro-optical properties.
3.3 µm interband-cascade resonant-cavity light-emitting diode with narrow spectral emission linewidth
Daniel A. Diaz-Thomas,Oleksandr Stepanenko,Michael Bahriz,Stephane Calvez,Thomas Batte,Cyril Paranthoen,Gilles Patriarche,Eric Tournié,Alexei N. Baranov,Guilhem Almuneau,Christophe Levallois,Laurent Cerutti +11 more
TL;DR: In this paper, an IC-RCLED was constructed with a Sb-based type-II interband-cascade active zone enclosed between two distributed Bragg mirrors (DBR), and the bottom high reflective DBR is composed of GaSb/AlAsSb quarter wave layers.
