TL;DR: Investigation of the effect of previous abdominal surgery on the feasibility and safety of laparoscopic cholecystectomy found previous upper abdominal surgery is not a contraindication to safe laparoscopy, however, previous upper abdomen surgery is associated with a prolonged operation time.
