This is a follow-up report on lateral, posterior oro-, hypopharyngeal wall cancer treatment based on a new therapeutic concept. Ir-192 or I-125 brachytherapy and craniocervical megavoltage irradiation are effective with improved local control and NED (no evidence of disease) survival rates. Local failure rate is 14% and actuarial survival (NED) is 82% at 5 years in 14 patients treated thus far.

Development of an empowerment model for burnout syndrome and quality of nursing work life in Indonesia

Background: Compliance for taking medication to become an important thing for a patient with hypertension. Compliance is needed to control blood pressure and prevent complication. The purpose of this study was to analyse the factors that influence patients adherence to taking medicine. Method : The study design was observational analytic using a cross-sectional approach. Samples were 225 patients with hypertension class 2 and 3, in Malang district, Indonesia. The sampling technique was done by using a multistage random sampling technique. The research instrument was in the form of a questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using the Pearson test and linear regression. Results: The results showed that patients adherence in taking medicine was 32.9% for the low category, 51.1% in the medium category and 16% in the good category. Factors influencing the adherence were ages (p-value: 0.002), turning to religion (p-value: 0.011), gender (p-value: 0.016) and suppressing competition activities (p-value: 0.063). Discussion: Demographic characteristics and focused emotional mastery influence taking the medication in patients with grade 2 and grade 3 hypertension. Strengthening coping strategies with transporting to coping emotions becomes very important to discuss in patients with grade 2 and grade 3 hypertension, so that adherence to hypertension is needed will be able to control blood pressure and prevent complications.

Pendahuluan: Media sosial menawarkan berbagai fasilitas sehingga pengguna merasa bebas dan senang menyimpan berbagai pengalaman. Tindakan mengunggah foto atau video dengan intensitas sering mengganggu tercapainya perkembangan diri optimal. Penggunaan media sosial berlebihan memicu timbulnya cyberbulying, berupa kata merendahkan, menekan dan bernada kekerasan yang membahayakan self-esteem. Self-esteem merupakan faktor yang berhubungan terhadap kecenderungan narsistik dan aktualisasi diri seseorang. Metode: Desain penelitian cross- sectional dengan menggunakan simple random sampling. Variabel independen adalah intensitas penggunaan media sosial. Variabel dependen adalah kecenderungan narsisme dan aktualisasi diri. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan kuesioner dan dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji Kendall’s tau. Hasil: Ada hubungan antara intensitas penggunaan media sosial dengan kecenderungan narsisme (p=0,005) dan ada hubungan antara intensitas penggunaan media sosial dan aktualisasi diri (p=0,001). Kesimpulan: Intensitas penggunaan media sosial yang tinggi akan berpengaruh pada kecenderungan narsisme dan aktualisasi diri. Perlu adanya pengawasan dan peningkatan kualitas pendidikan kesehatan untuk menghindari penggunaan media sosial yang berlebihan dan mengoptimalkan potensi individu agar tercapai aktualisasi diri yang optimal.

The development of returns stock of manufacturing companies shows a fluctuating movement from year to year. Movement of returns such as this indicates that the state of the manufacturing company is unstable so that it has an impact on returns the resulting stock. This uncertainty will certainly create a concern for investors who will invest shares in manufacturing companies. It is important for investors to analyze the condition of the company so that the investment can get benefit. One aspect of the company that can be assessed by investors is the company's performance through financial statements. Company performance measurement can be categorized into three groups, namely (1) Earning Measures, (2) Cash Flow Measures, and (3) Value Measure. The purpose of this study is to test EVA, MVA, and REVA on stock prices and returns stock. In this study using a sample of 104 manufacturing companies taken through random sampling in the 2014-2016 period. Data analysis and hypothesis testing in this study using Partial Least Square Path Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that EVA, MVA, and REVA have a significant positive relationship to stock prices and returns stock. By looking at the results of this study, it shows that performance appraisal uses EVA, MVA, and REVA methods have a strong influence on stock prices and returns stock. This shows that valuation based on value is important because each investment can’t escape the consequences of the emergence of capital costs as compensation for the funds used to finance the investment.
