Treatment of Acute Venous Thromboembolism With Dabigatran or Warfarin and Pooled Analysis
Sam Schulman,Ajay K. Kakkar,Samuel Z. Goldhaber,Sebastian Schellong,Henry Eriksson,Patrick Mismetti,Anita Vedel Christiansen,Jeffrey Friedman,Florence Le Maulf,Nuala Peter,Clive Kearon +10 more
TL;DR: Dabigatran has similar effects on VTE recurrence and a lower risk of bleeding compared with warfarin for the treatment of acute VTE.

Influence Of Concomitant NSAID Or ASA On The Efficacy and Safety Of Dabigatran Versus Warfarin For The Treatment Of Acute Venous Thromboembolism: A Pooled Analysis From RE-Cover and RE-Cover II
Sam Schulman,Henry Eriksson,Samuel Z. Goldhaber,Ajay K. Kakkar,Clive Kearon,Sebastian Schellong,Martin Feuring,Nuala Peter,Jeffrey Friedman +8 more
TL;DR: Cox regression analysis showed that presence of cancer was associated with a statistically significant increase in the likelihood of VTE or VTE-related death, but there was no significant interaction with treatment, indicating similar treatment effects regardless of the presence or absence of active cancer.

Renal and Vascular Effects of Combined SGLT2 and Angiotensin-Converting Enzyme Inhibition
Yuliya Lytvyn,K. Kimura,Nuala Peter,Vesta Lai,Josephine Tse,Leslie Cham,Bruce A. Perkins,Nima Soleymanlou,David Z.I. Cherney +8 more
TL;DR: Adding sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 inhibitor treatment to angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor resulted in an expected GFR dip, suppression of oxidative stress markers, additive declines in blood pressure and total peripheral resistance, consistent with a protective physiologic profile characterized by the lowering of intraglomerular pressure.

FRI0189 Similar efficacy and safety of biosimilar candidate BI 695501 and adalimumab originator reference product in patients with moderate to severe active rheumatoid arthritis: 24 week results from a phase III clinical study (voltaire®-ra)
Stanley Cohen,A Alonso-Ruiz,Piotr Adrian Klimiuk,Eric Lee,Nuala Peter,Ivo Sonderegger,Deepak Assudani +6 more
TL;DR: The co-primary end points of ACR20 response at Wks 12 and 24 were within the pre-defined criteria for equivalence, demonstrating clinical equivalence between BI 695501 and the adalimumab originator (Table 1).

20-OR: The Renal and Vascular Effects of Combined SGLT2 and Angiotensin Converting Enzyme Inhibition
Yuliya Lytvyn,K. Kimura,Nuala Peter,Vesta Lai,Josephine Tse,Leslie Cham,Bruce A. Perkins,Nima Soleymanlou,David Z.I. Cherney +8 more
TL;DR: SGLT2i-ACEi combination treatment resulted in an expected GFR “dip”, suppression of oxidative stress markers, and additive declines in blood pressure and total peripheral resistance in this mechanistic study, consistent with a protective physiological profile characterized by the lowering of intraglomerular pressure and related cardiorenal risk when adding an SGLT 2i to conservative therapy.
