Application of positron annihilation line-shape analysis to fatigue damage for nuclear plant materials
TL;DR: In this paper, a portable positron annihilation system was developed and applied to fatigue damage in type 316 stainless steel and SA508 low alloy steel, and it was considered that the amount of dislocation density change in the stainless steel was greater than that in the low-alloy steel.

Optimization of operation and maintenance of nuclear power plant by probabilistic fracture mechanics
TL;DR: In this article, a trial calculation for optimization of operation and maintenance of nuclear power plant was performed through calculation of costs for maintenance and electricity generation as function of inspection frequency and operational temperature following the probabilistic fracture mechanics principle.

Fundamental study on applications of damage mechanics to evaluation of material degradation
TL;DR: In this article, a comparison was made of calculation results, using constitutive equations of Chow and Wang, and of Lemaitre to describe ductile behavior of notched tension bars.
