Differential expression of Ia and Ia-associated invariant chain in mouse tissues after in vivo treatment with IFN-gamma.
Frank Momburg,Norbert Koch,Peter Möller,Gerhard Moldenhauer,G W Butcher,Günter J. Hämmerling +5 more
TL;DR: The data demonstrate that IFN-gamma applied i.v. is a potent inducer or enhancer of Ia antigens and invariant chain in a variety of cell types.

Primary structure of the gene for the murine Ia antigen‐associated invariant chains (Ii). An alternatively spliced exon encodes a cysteine‐rich domain highly homologous to a repetitive sequence of thyroglobulin.
TL;DR: It is suggested that this domain (TgR) in Tg and in Ii41 may play a role either in hormone formation or as a carrier in the transport of molecules (thyroid hormone or processed antigen respectively) between intracellular compartments.

Induction of exosome release in primary B cells stimulated via CD40 and the IL-4 receptor.
Sarah C. Saunderson,Petra C. Schuberth,Amy C. Dunn,Lilija Miller,Barry D. Hock,Philippa A. MacKay,Norbert Koch,Ralph W. Jack,Alexander D. McLellan +8 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that exosome release is not R constitutive activity of B cells, but may be induced following cell: cell signaling, and a link between the BCR and this exocytic pathway is demonstrated.
150
Ia invariant chain detected on lymphocyte surfaces by monoclonal antibody.
TL;DR: A monoclonal antibody detecting free Ii chains on the cell surface which are not associated with Ia antigens is described.

Human major histocompatibility complex class II invariant chain is expressed on the cell surface.
C. J. Wraight,P. Van Endert,P. Möller,J. Lipp,N. R. Ling,I. C. M. Maclennan,Norbert Koch,G. Moldenhauer +7 more
TL;DR: The results of this study appear to resolve the highly disputed question of whether or not the invariant chain can appear as a plasma membrane protein.
