Arachidonic-acid-derived eicosanoids: roles in biology and immunopathology
TL;DR: The major properties of eicosanoids are reviewed and their expanding roles in biology and medicine are reviewed.

Cyclooxygenase-2-issued prostaglandin e(2) enhances the production of endogenous IL-10, which down-regulates dendritic cell functions.
TL;DR: It is concluded that COX-2-mediated PGE2 up-regulates IL-10, which down-regulate IL-12 production and the APC function of BM-DC, and the inhibitory effects of P GE2 were totally reversed by anti-IL-10.

Prostaglandin E2 modulates dendritic cell function via EP2 and EP4 receptor subtypes.
TL;DR: The data demonstrate that EP2R/EP4R are efficient for mediating PGE2‐induced modulation of DC functions, and suggest that COX‐2‐issued prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) modulates DC function through stimulation of specific EPR subtypes.

Dendritic Cells Issued in Vitro from Bone Marrow Produce PGE2 That Contributes to the Immunomodulation Induced by Antigen-Presenting Cells
TL;DR: It is suggested that endogenous PGE(2) produced by DC might play a role as an immunomodulating factor during the immune response, sustained by the fact that IL-12 production by BM-DC is modulated by exogenous PGE (2) as well as endogenous prostaglandin.

TL;DR: Treatment with IL-2/IFNα decreases serum DPP IV activity within 3–5 days and the immunochemotherapy-induced decreases in serum D PP IV activity are significantly and inversely related to treatment-induced increases in severity of depression and signs of activation of the IRS.
