Neutralising capacity against Delta (B.1.617.2) and other variants of concern following Comirnaty (BNT162b2, BioNTech/Pfizer) vaccination in health care workers, Israel.
Yaniv Lustig,Yaniv Lustig,Neta S. Zuckerman,Ital Nemet,Nofar Atari,Limor Kliker,Gili Regev-Yochay,Gili Regev-Yochay,Einav Sapir,Einav Sapir,Orna Mor,Orna Mor,Sharon Alroy-Preis,Ella Mendelson,Ella Mendelson,Michal Mandelboim,Michal Mandelboim +16 more
TL;DR: In this article, micro-neutralization assays with sera obtained after Comirnaty (BNT162b2, BioNTech/Pfizer) vaccination in 36 healthcare workers (31 female) demonstrated significant fold change reduction in neutralising titres compared with the original virus.

Predictors of reinfection with pre-Omicron and Omicron variants of concern among individuals who recovered from COVID-19 in the first year of the pandemic
Daniel H. Cohen,Marina Izak,Evgeniy Stoyanov,Michal Mandelboim,Saritte Perlman,Yonatan Amir,Sophy Goren,Anya Bialik,L. Kliker,Nofar Atari,R. Yshai,Yona Zaide,Hadar Marcus,Noa Madar-Balakirski,Tomer Israely,Nir Paran,Oren Zimhony,Eilat Shinar,Yasmin Maor,Khitam Muhsen +19 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors examined predictors of reinfection with pre-Omicron and Omicron variants among COVID-19-recovered individuals and found that high anti-S binding and neutralizing antibody levels against the SARS-CoV-2 Wuhan and Alpha strains predicted protection against omicron reinfections.

COVID-19 vaccination and BA.1 breakthrough infection induce neutralising antibodies which are less efficient against BA.4 and BA.5 Omicron variants, Israel, March to June 2022
L. Kliker,Neta S. Zuckerman,Nofar Atari,Noam Barda,Mayan Gilboa,Ital Nemet,Bayan Abd Elkader,Ilana S. Fratty,Hanaa Jaber,Ella Mendelson,Sharon Alroy-Preis,Yitshak Kreiss,Gili Regev-Yochay,Michal Mandelboim +13 more
- 01 Jul 2022
TL;DR: Omicron breakthrough infection in individuals vaccinated three or four times before infection resulted in increased neutralising antibodies against the WT virus, and the fourth vaccine dose did not further improve the neutralising efficiency over the third dose against all Omicron variants.

Anti-human ACE2 antibody neutralizes and inhibits virus production of SARS-CoV-2 variants of concern
A. Chaouat,Ilija Brizić,Paola Kucan Brlic,Nofar Atari,L. Kliker,Orit Alfi,Michal Mandelboim,Dana G. Wolf,Laith Tafish,Inbal Kol,Stipan Jonjić,Ofer Mandelboim +11 more
TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper developed a specific antibody against human ACE2 named hACE2.16, an anti-ACE2 antibody that recognizes and blocks ACE2-RBD binding without affecting ACE2 enzymatic activity.

Outbreak of Influenza and Other Respiratory Viruses in Hospitalized Patients Alongside the SARS-CoV-2 Pandemic
Ilana S. Fratty,Shira Reznik Balter,Ital Nemet,Nofar Atari,L. Kliker,Hilda Sherbany,Nathan Keller,Michal Stein,Ella Mendelson,Michal Mandelboim +9 more
TL;DR: The presented findings show how the dominance of influenza A(H3N2) abruptly ended upon circulation of the SARS-CoV-2 omicron variant, hence the planning of the next influenza vaccine is critical to ensure lower influenza-related hospitalization rates.
