TL;DR: The capability of nondestructive testing techniques heavily depends on the way of collecting, analyzing and presenting data for defect evaluation as mentioned in this paper, and it is often desirable to present data in graphical form, so that the location and the shape of defects within in the sample under test can be seen at a glance.
