High-gain, novel double-pass, Ti:sapphire cw-amplifier and its potential output-power scalability over 10-W level by cascading
Yuji Suzuki,Hidetoshi Murakami,Toshimasa Kozeki,Hideyuki Ohtake,Zhenlin Liu,Nobuhiko Sarukura +5 more
- 28 Jan 2001
TL;DR: In this paper, a confocal double-pass Ti:sapphire cw-amplifier with the 4.2 times small-signal gain and 10.6 % extraction efficiency is demonstrated.
Modal analysis of teflon photonic crystal fiber as a terahertz waveguide
Romeric Pobre,A. Quema,Elmer Estacio,Hidetoshi Murakami,Shingo Ono,Nobuhiko Sarukura +5 more
- 19 Sep 2005
TL;DR: In this article, the full vector two-dimensional modal characteristics of Teflon photonic crystal fiber (PCF) as a terahertz (THz) waveguide were analyzed.
Enhanced terahertz magnetic near-field by tapered waveguide in double split-ring resonator coupled Tb 3 Ga 5 O 12 crystal
Hongsong Qiu,Hirofumi Harada,Kosaku Kato,K. Takano,Takayuki Kurihara,Tohru Suemoto,Masahiko Tani,Nobuhiko Sarukura,Masashi Yoshimura,Makoto Nakajima +9 more
- 01 Sep 2016
TL;DR: In this paper, a Tb 3 Ga 5 O 12 crystal coupled with a double split-ring resonator was used to enhance the terahertz magnetic near-field.
Time-resolved gain spectrum measurement scheme using two crystals and a streak camera for new laser media development
Toshimasa Kozeki,Yuji Suzuki,Nobuhiko Sarukura,Kiyoshi Shimamura,T. Fukuda,Zhenlin Liu,Masahiro Hirano,Hideo Hosono +7 more
- 11 May 2001
TL;DR: In this article, a two-crystal pump and probe method with a streak camera was applied to evaluate the gain spectra of Ce:LiSCAF very easily, and the technique for measuring the gain spectrum is very convenient because it is not necessary to have a tunable laser to supply the probe beam and the gain values for different wavelengths can be obtained at the same time.
