TL;DR: In this article, the first successful micro-pulling down method growth and ultraviolet emission from a Ce:LiCAF crystal was reported, with two-side pumping configuration, and 23% slope efficiency was obtained from the 290-nm emission of a 30 mm-long, 2 mm-wide Brewster-cut crystal.

TL;DR: In this article, a coaxially-pumped large-aperture Ce3+:LiCaAlF6 power-amplifier module for the TW ultraviolet CPA laser system is demonstrated to have 98mJ output with 25% extraction efficiency.

TL;DR: Using a highly flexible plastic material, teflon, photonic crystal fiber (PCF) waveguide for THz radiation is constructed in this paper, a solid rod of this material is used as core and hollow tubes as air clad The PCFs are fused together without the need of furnace heating thereby making it simple and easy to fabricate.
