Generation of THz Radiation from Resonant Absorption in Strained Multiple Quantum Wells in a Magnetic Field : Optics and Quantum Electronics
TL;DR: In this article, the wavelength-dependent THz-radiation from 10 molecular-beam epitaxy (MBE)-grown multiple quantum wells (MQWs) on a (100)-oriented semi-insulating GaAs substrate is studied in a 1-T magnetic field.

Effect of doping distribution on the lasing performance of a cerium-doped lithium calcium aluminum fluoride ultraviolet laser crystal
Marilou Cadatal-Raduban,Marilou Cadatal-Raduban,Kohei Yamanoi,Minh Hong Pham,Takaya Taniguchi,Xi Yu,Nobuhiko Sarukura,Shingo Ono +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, a large 110mm diameter Czochralski method-grown cerium-doped lithium calcium aluminum fluoride (Ce3+:LiCaAlF6 or Ce:LiCAF) crystal was used for multiphoton luminescence and laser ablation-inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (LA-ICPMS).

Angular distribution of atoms emitted from a SrZrO3 target by laser ablation under different laser fluences and oxygen pressures
Ichiro Konomi,T. Motohiro,H. Azuma,T. Asaoka,Tomoharu Nakazato,E. Sato,T. Shimizu,Shinsuke Fujioka,Nobuhiko Sarukura,Hiroaki Nishimura +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the angular distribution of atoms emitted by laser ablation of perovskite-type oxide SrZrO3 has been investigated using electron probe microanalysis with wavelength-dispersive spectroscopy and charge-coupled device photography with an interference filter.

Tunable cw passive mode- locked Ti:sapphire laser with direct pulse compression
Nobuhiko Sarukura,Yuzo Ishida,Hidetoshi Nakano +2 more
- 21 May 1990
TL;DR: In this article, a continuous wave passive mode-locking of a Ti:sapphire laser and direct compression of its output pulses without coupling into a fiber was described, and the authors showed that the model can be extended to the case of a single-input single-output (SISO) laser.
