TL;DR: It is shown that adaptation to submergence induced hypoxia in Arabidopsis involves up-regulation of RAP2.2 through interactive action of WRKY33 and WRKY12, and genetic and molecular experiments demonstrate that the two WRKYs can synergistically enhance activation towards RAP1.2 to increase Hypoxia tolerance.
