New insights into the impact of microbiome on horizontal and vertical transmission of a tick-borne pathogen
Liuyun Du,Jinghui Zhang,Ting-Ting Yuan,Xue-Bing Ni,Wei Wei,Xiao-Ming Cui,Ning Wang,Tao Xiong,Jie Zhang,Yu-Sheng Pan,D. Zhu,Liangjing Li,Luo-Yuan Xia,Tian Hong Wang,Ran Wei,Hong-Bo Liu,Yi Sun,Lin Zhao,Tommy Tsan-Yuk Lam,Wu-Chun Cao,Na Jia +20 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors used R. raoultii-positive and -negative Dermacentor spp. tick colonies to study the involvement of skin microbiota in cutaneous infection with rickettsiae in laboratory mice, and the function of the tick microbiome on maintenance of rICKettsiae through all tick developmental stages (eggs, larvae, nymphs, adults) over two generations.

Temporal Instability of Liquid Jet in Swirling Gas with Axial Velocity Oscillation
TL;DR: In this paper , the dispersion-relation equation is obtained between dimensionless growth rate and wave number for viscous potential flow theory to investigate the temporal instability of a viscous liquid jet in swirling gas with axial velocity oscillation.

Virome diversity shaped by genetic evolution and ecological landscape of Haemaphysalis longicornis
Runze Ye,Yu-Yu Li,Da-Li Xu,Bai-Hui Wang,Xiao-Yang Wang,Ming-Zhu Zhang,Ning Wang,Wan-Ying Gao,Cheng Li,Xiao-Yu Han,Liuyun Du,Luo-Yuan Xia,Ke Song,Qing Xu,Jing Liu,Nuo Cheng,Ze-Hui Li,Yi-Di Du,Hui-Jun Yu,Xiao-Yu Shi,Jia-Fu Jiang,Yi Sun,Xiao-Ming Cui,Shu-Jun Ding,Lin Zhao,Wu-Chun Cao +25 more
TL;DR: The findings highlight that the virome diversity is shaped by internal genetic evolution and external ecological landscape of H. longicornis and provide the new foundation for promoting the studies on virus-vector-ecology interaction and eventually for evaluating the risk of H. longicornis for transmitting the viruses to humans and animals.

Genomic Characteristics of Emerging Intraerythrocytic Anaplasma capra and High Prevalence in Goats, China
Zhe-Tao Lin,Liuyun Du,Jinghui Zhang,Xiao-Yu Han,Bai-Hui Wang,Jiao Meng,Fulai Yu,Xiaofei Zhou,Ning Wang,Cheng Li,Xiaoyun Wang,Jing Liu,Wanying Gao,Run Ze Ye,Luo-Yuan Xia,Yi Sun,Na-er Jia,Jia-Fu Jiang,Lin Zhao,Xiao-Ming Cui,Lin Zhan,Wu-Chun Cao +21 more
TL;DR: Phylogenetic analyses revealed that the A. capra strains detected in this study were basically classified into 2 subclusters with those previously detected in Asia, and clarified details of the genomic characteristics of A. Capra and shed light on its genetic diversity.
