Rapid room temperature synthesis of red iridium(III) complexes containing a four-membered Ir–S–C–S chelating ring for highly efficient OLEDs with EQE over 30%
Guang-Zhao Lu,Ning Su,Hui-Qing Yang,Qi Zhu,Wen-Wei Zhang,You-Xuan Zheng,Liang Zhou,Jing-Lin Zuo,Zhao-Xu Chen,Hongjie Zhang +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, three red cyclometalated iridium(III) complexes with sulfur-containing ligands were synthesized in five minutes at room temperature with good yields, and the Gibbs free energy calculation results indicate that all reactions are exothermic and thermodynamically favorable processes.
Highly efficient bluish green organic light-emitting diodes of iridium(iii) complexes with low efficiency roll-off.
TL;DR: Results indicate that novel cyclometalated Ir(iii) complexes for high efficiency OLEDs with low efficiency roll-off were obtained by the rational design.

Four-membered red iridium(III) complexes with Ir–S–C–S structures for efficient organic light-emitting diodes
TL;DR: In this paper, three red iridium(III) complexes were synthesized at room temperature in 5 min with high yields owing to strong coordination ability between sulfur and iridium atoms.

Highly efficient green electroluminescence of iridium(III) complexes based on (1H-pyrazol-5-yl)pyridine derivatives ancillary ligands with low efficiency roll-off
TL;DR: In this article, four iridium(III) complexes, namely Ir-me, Ir-cf3 and Ir-ph, were synthesized, in which 2-(4-trifluoromethyl)phenyl pyridine (tfmppy) was used as the main ligand and 2-(3-methyl-1H-pyrazol-5-yl)pyridine(mepzpy) was applied as ancillary ligands, respectively.

Four-membered red iridium(III) complexes with Ir–S–P–S structures: rapid room-temperature synthesis and application in OLEDs
Ning Su,You-Xuan Zheng +1 more
TL;DR: The calculated Gibbs free energy changes of the complex formation reactions prove that they are exothermic and thermodynamically beneficial processes.
