TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed techniques for retrofitting concrete hollow block masonry walls by installing coated high ductile fiber-reinforced concrete (HDC) layers, which significantly increased the lateral shear strength, stiffness, and energy dissipation capacity of the URM walls, and changed the brittle failure mode into a ductile mode.

Effect of Nitrogen Doping on the Photocatalytic Properties of TiO2
TL;DR: In this article , a series of nitrogen-doped TiO2 were prepared through a simple sol-solvothermal method, and the results showed that N−TiO2 photocatalyst has a larger specific surface area, stable anatase phase, and narrow forbidden band energy (3.17-3.24 eV).
