Rotating three-dimensional vortex dissipative optical soliton
N. A. Veretenov,Nikolay N. Rosanov,Sergey V. Fedorov +2 more
- 01 Jun 2016
TL;DR: In this article, a three-dimensional dissipative vortex soliton in homogeneous medium with nonlinear gain and absorption has been presented, which has a fixed torus-like intensity distribution with a number of maxima in azimuthal direction.

Abstract: In this paper we review and compare the main features of localized structures – switching waves, or kinks, and solitons in discrete dissipative systems. Some of these features have no known analogues in continuous systems. Especially rich are localized structures in magnetic metamaterials driven by coherent radiation, and they include knotted solitons not found in other optical and microwave systems.
Oscillons of Matter Waves
Nikolay N. Rosanov,N. V. Vysotina,L. A. Nesterov,Sergey V. Fedorov,N. A. Veretenov,A. N. Shatsev +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, localized structures of the Bose-Einstein condensate permanently exchanging energy with oscillating walls of the trap are presented and compared with that in the Fermi-Ulam and Fermia-Pasta Ulam problems.
Few cycle dissipative soliton pulses
N.V. Vyssotina,Nikolay N. Rosanov,V. E. Semenov,Sergey V. Fedorov,S. Wabnitz +4 more
- 21 May 2006
TL;DR: In this article, a class of stable dissipative solitary waves with discrete velocities and few cycle temporal duration in a composite medium containing active and passive atoms was found, and they were shown to be stable.
Unipolar half-cycle pulses and their applications for efficient excitation and selective ultrafast control of atomic systems
Rostislav Arkhipov,Mikhail Arkhipov,Anton Pakhomov,Ihar Babushkin,Ayhan Demircan,Uwe Morgner,Nikolay N. Rosanov +6 more
- 16 Nov 2020
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors discuss recently developed methods of unipolar half-cycle pulse generation having attosecond duration in optical range and femtosecond length in terahertz frequency ranges.
