Polyols and Rigid Polyurethane Foams from Cashew Nut Shell Liquid
TL;DR: In this article, the synthesis of new biobased Mannich polyols for rigid polyurethane foams in two steps: synthesis of Mannich bases by reacting phenolic ring of cardanol with N-(2-hydroxyethyl)-1,3-oxazolidine followed by alkoxylation reactions.

Biobased Polyols Using Thiol-Ene Chemistry for Rigid Polyurethane Foams with Enhanced Flame-Retardant Properties
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of DMMP on the properties of rigid polyurethane foams (RPFs) was studied and it was shown that the RPFs almost retained their specific compressive strength even when 2 parts by weight (pbw) was added but with significant improvement in fire retardancy.

Thermoplastic polyurethanes with controlled morphology based on methylenediphenyldiisocyanate/isosorbide/butanediol hard segments
Ivan Javni,Olivera Bilić,Nikola Bilić,Zoran S. Petrović,Eric A. Eastwood,Fan Zhang,Jan Ilavský +6 more
TL;DR: Isosorbide, a cyclic, rigid and renewable diol, was used as a chain extender in two series of thermoplastic polyurethanes (PUs) as mentioned in this paper.

Polyurethane molded foams with high content of hyperbranched polyols from soybean oil
TL;DR: In this article, the feasibility of using polyols from vegetable oils as base polyols for flexible molded polyurethane foams was examined, and polyols with 50% or more in a blend with petrochemical polyols were used.

New polyols with isocyanuric structure by thiol-ene “click” chemistry reactions:
TL;DR: In this article, a triallyl isocyanurate with 1-thioglycerol and 2-mercaptoethanol was synthesized for the preparation of rigid polyurethane foams.
