TL;DR: The results demonstrate genetic influences on the development of PTSD, identify shared genetic risk between PTSD and other psychiatric disorders and highlight the importance of multiethnic/racial samples.

TL;DR: It is suggested that traumatic stress is associated with advanced epigenetic age and raise the possibility that cells integral to immune system maintenance and responsivity play a role in this.

Flexibility and negative affect : Examining the associations of explanatory flexibility and coping flexibility to each other and to depression and anxiety
TL;DR: In this article, the authors integrated these promising avenues of conceptualization by assessing the respective contributions of explanatory and coping flexibility to current levels of depression and anxiety symptoms, with coping flexibility partially mediating the influence of explanatory flexibility.

TL;DR: Evaluation of metabolomics data reveals that AHRR methylation associated with kynurenine levels, which are lower among subjects with PTSD, which supports epigenetic differences in those with PTSD and suggests a role for decreased kyn Laurenine as a contributor to immune dysregulation in PTSD.
A systematic review of childhood maltreatment and DNA methylation: candidate gene and epigenome-wide approaches.
Stephanie H. Parade,Lindsay Huffhines,Lindsay Huffhines,Teresa E. Daniels,Teresa E. Daniels,Laura R. Stroud,Laura R. Stroud,Nicole R. Nugent,Audrey R. Tyrka,Audrey R. Tyrka +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a systematic approach is used to identify and summarize the literature related to childhood maltreatment and alterations in DNA methylation in humans, including studies that focused on candidate genes and studies that leveraged epigenome-wide data in both children and adults.
