How to conduct a proper sensitivity analysis in life cycle assessment: taking into account correlations within LCI data and interactions within the LCA calculation model.
Wei Wei,Pyrène Larrey-Lassalle,Thierry Faure,Nicolas Dumoulin,Philippe Roux,Jean-Denis Mathias +5 more
TL;DR: This study first presents the SA in an uncorrelated case, comparing local and independent global sensitivity analysis, and applies a dependent global sensitivity approach that makes minor modifications to traditional Sobol indices to address the correlation issue.

Declarative task delegation in OpenMOLE
Romain Reuillon,Florent Chuffart,Mathieu Leclaire,Thierry Faure,Nicolas Dumoulin,David R.C. Hill +5 more
- 12 Aug 2010
TL;DR: The OpenMOLE framework has been tested with the exploration of a bacterial biofilm simulation with an individual-based model and abstraction layers to delegate computing tasks with the same high level interface for the major underlying architectures.

Using the Reliability Theory for Assessing the Decision Confidence Probability for Comparative Life Cycle Assessments.
Wei Wei,Pyrène Larrey-Lassalle,Thierry Faure,Nicolas Dumoulin,Philippe Roux,Jean-Denis Mathias +5 more
TL;DR: This work compares the traditional Monte Carlo method with a reliability method called FORM method, and shows that the reliability method provides additional useful information to stakeholders as well as it reduces the computational time.

Upcycling Sunflower Stems as Natural Fibers for Biocomposite Applications
Jean-Denis Mathias,Arnaud Alzina,Michel Grédiac,Philippe Michaud,Philippe Roux,Hélène de Baynast,Cédric Delattre,Nicolas Dumoulin,Thierry Faure,Pyrène Larrey-Lassalle,Narimane Mati-Baouche,Fabienne Pennec,Shengnan Sun,Nicolas Tessier-Doyen,Evelyne Toussaint,Wei Wei +15 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the main mechanical properties of sunflower-based biocomposites and the socioeconomic impact of their use have been investigated, and it has been shown that sunflower stem makes a good candidate feedstock for material applications due to its physical and chemical properties, but also to its socioeconomic and environmental rationales.

SimExplorer: Programming Experimental Designs on Models and Managing Quality of Modelling Process
TL;DR: Simexplorer is a computer framework for managing simulation experiments and, to some extent, the scientific quality of the modelling process and an information system, included in the framework, insures the traceability of the experiments and their reproducibility and thus contributes to the modeling process quality management.
