Data-Driven Robust Control for Type 1 Diabetes Under Meal and Exercise Uncertainties
Nicola Paoletti,Kin Sum Liu,Scott A. Smolka,Shan Lin +3 more
- 27 Sep 2017
TL;DR: An extensive in silico evaluation of the robust AP design is provided, demonstrating the potential of this approach, without explicit meal announcements, to support high carbohydrate disturbances and to regulate glucose levels in large clusters of virtual patients learned from population-wide survey data.

Adaptability checking in complex systems
TL;DR: A relational characterisation of strong and weak adaptability is provided and it is shown that adaptability checking, i.e. deciding if a system is weakly or strongly adaptable, can be reduced to a CTL model checking problem.

Synthesising Robust and Optimal Parameters for Cardiac Pacemakers Using Symbolic and Evolutionary Computation Techniques
Marta Kwiatkowska,Alexandru Mereacre,Nicola Paoletti,Andrea Patane +3 more
- 04 Sep 2015
TL;DR: An SMT-based method for solving the inner problem through a discrete encoding, and an evolutionary algorithms and simulations to solve the outer optimisation task are developed.
Neural Predictive Monitoring Under Partial Observability
Francesca Cairoli,Luca Bortolussi,Nicola Paoletti +2 more
- 11 Oct 2021
TL;DR: In this paper, a learning-based method for predictive monitoring is presented, which produces accurate and reliable reachability predictions despite partial observability (PO) in the presence of partial and noisy observations of the state.
