TL;DR: In this paper, a Total Absorption Calorimeter (TAC) was used for measuring low-mass and/or radioactive samples. But the results obtained with the TAC have led to a substantial improvement of the capture cross sections of 237Np and 240Pu.

TL;DR: In counting experiments associated with pulsed sources, a high data collection rate can lead to considerably large counting losses, especially in the counting experiments as mentioned in this paper, where the counting losses can be very large.
Multifragmentation: Surface instabilities or statistical decay?
TL;DR: In this paper, Boltzmann-Nordheim-Vlasov calculations show multifragmentation that seems to originate from surface instabilities, which are traced to a sheet instability caused by the proximity interaction.
