The article offers an analysis of the organizational culture at a higher education institution as in the case of the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, conducted in order to study the students’ involvement in this culture and to draw conclusions as to what organizational culture principles are internalized by the students. The study used survey methodology and the OCAI (Organizational Culture Assessment Instrument) tool. The article’s content is based on the methods of analyzing, synthesizing and aggregating the data acquired during the empirical study. The article concludes that, in the students’ opinion, a hierarchy culture prevails at the university and that the students potentially expect some changes in the style of that organizational culture; it should be pointed out that this piece of diagnostics sets the direction for further development in terms of which the progress of the university’s organizational culture will have to be consistently adjusted and stimulated.

A Study of the Organizational Culture at a Higher Education Institution (Case Study: Plekhanov Russian University of Economics (PRUE))

This article is directed to the study of value and meaning attitudes as a factor of forming students’ tolerant ethnic consciousness in the multicultural milieu of a higher education institution. The leading approach to research into this problem is the theoretical and methodological approach. The results of the theoretical analysis of tolerance as a social and psychological category are presented in the article. Personal values have been considered which are viewed as internal carriers of social regulation having rooted in the personality structure and they are genetic derivatives from the values of social groups and communities of various sizes. The conclusions have been drawn that tolerance is a complicated and multifaceted phenomenon comprising an attitude to the unification of different points of view for the purpose of attaining concord and which testifies to personal maturity that manifests itself in an orientation to the personal self-realization and preference for constructive strategies of coming out of stressful situations. Fostering tolerance should be viewed as an urgent, important task of forming a full-fledged person, needed and useful for society. Tolerance as a personality quality which is set against stereotypes and authoritarianism is considered to be required for successful adaptation to new intercultural, interreligious, interethnic conditions. Besides, it has been proved that personal values serving as internal carriers of social regulation rooted in the personality structure are genetic derivatives from the values of social groups and communities of a different scale. Selection, adoption and assimilation by an individual of social values are mediated by his social identity and values of small contact groups significant for him which can serve both as a catalyst and a barrier to the adoption of big social groups’ values and also universal human values. The materials of the article are of practical value to psychologists-practitioners as well as staff members of educational institutions.

Value and Meaning Attitudes as a Factor of Forming Tolerant Ethnic Consciousness in the Multicultural Milieu of a Higher Education Institution

The state policy forms the scope of activities at the junction of a political and managerial orientation in the system of education. In accordance with the spheres and stakeholders, the goal is concretized in education according to a number of parameters. Education is proclaimed a priority field within the social sphere in the framework of the modern state policy of the Russian Federation. A specific character of understanding the essence of education underlies the state policy in this area of the society organization, at any stage of human development. Base interests of society, strategic needs of the relevant stage of the state’s development, expressed by political leaders and elites in the form of basic principles and strategic goals that have found appropriate public support underlie the foundation of the state policy development in the field of education. It is necessary to identify one more of the main components of state policy: the constant reform and modernization of the system of education, which is the dominant of the Russian education development throughout its history and, of course, in the period of 20th century analyzed by us. The reform of education is a complex process that is organized and controlled by the state agencies. Its necessity is recognized both at the public and at the state level.

A governing and political orientation in the field of education

The motivation for this study was a new context associated with the increased cyclical nature of the economy and, accordingly, the increased financial risks of the business, which complicated the implementation of corporate social responsibility. The purpose of the article is to explore the relationship of corporate social responsibility with the financial risks of the business and explain this relationship in terms of sustainable development (SDGs). The article contributes to the development of the concept of financial risks of the business by clarifying their connection with corporate social responsibility and substantiating the relationship between the financial risks of the business. Structural equation modeling (SEM) showed that in 2020–2021, financial risks have demonstrated a complex (in most cases negative) relationship with each other and a contradictory impact on corporate social responsibility. The complex systemic relationship between corporate social responsibility and financial risks of business from the point of view of sustainable development is substantiated. In the context of increased financial risks, by systematically implementing SDGs 8, 9, 11, and 12, responsible companies get the opportunity to restore and improve their position in the market. The significance of the findings for businesses is that they proposed the SDGs as a promising new benchmark for business financial risk management. This will allow responsible companies to find a new Pareto optimum in the current conditions of uncertainty and determine for themselves the preferred level of corporate social responsibility that contributes to the effective financial risks of business management in the long term.

Corporate Social Responsibility in Terms of Sustainable Development: Financial Risk Management Implications

The article is devoted to a very important problem of contemporary education the problem of professional and personal development and self-determination of a student at a higher education institution. The article outlines the theoretical analysis of studying the role of a training course in the educational process, as well as advantages of applying the social and psychological training course as a form of teaching for specialists’ education. The theoreticalphenomenological analysis and a forming experiment were used as the study methods. The conclusions described in the article emphasize the fact that a student should have initial opportunities, abilities, knowledge, competence, skills and a high motivation to achieve a high level of professionalism in his professional activity. It is very important that a professional should not only possess mastery but be recognized to have a high effectiveness and stability of activity results which is achieved by the use of various forms and methods of teaching in the process of professional education. The social and N. G. Enyashina et al. 754 psychological training course is a form of work that helps to effectively develop the skills of professional activity creating the emotionally safe milieu in students’ learning that gives an opportunity of getting an active feedback and forming a skill of self-analysis. This article can be of use to teachers of higher education institutions, social workers as well as to psychologists-practitioners.

A Social and Psychological Training Course as a form of Teaching in the Process of the Students’ Professional Education at a Higher Education Institution

One of the important tasks of educational system of higher educational institutions is the performance of continuous work aimed at successful social-psychological adaptation to the new system of education and social relationships of students of first years of learning. The aim of this paper, with due account of available experience of adaptation of students to the new system of education and also on the basis of results of research conducted by authors, is to develop optimal model of student’s social-psychological adaptation to new educational environment, in the process of which there is personal development of educate and the environment itself. The research conducted by the authors of this paper presents practical significance for development and implementation of theoretical and methodological model of psychological student school for the purpose of development of socio-cultural adaptation opportunities of students, particularly in the regions Russian Federation.

Adaptation of Graduates and Students of Regions to Education in Higher Education Institutions of Russia by Means of Social-Psychological Training

The problem studied in this paper consists in the fact that the social and financial risks of investments in innovations are managed in isolation, which leads to limited results (reduces certain risks but raises other risks). This paper is devoted to the search for a new strategy of managing the risks of investments in innovations, which would allow balancing the financial interests of business and the interests of employees and is aimed at developing a framework strategy of the systemic management of all risks based on corporate social responsibility. The methodology of this research is based on regression analysis. The research sample comprises data from 80 countries of the world in 2021. The social and financial risks of investments in innovations are identified, systematized, and quantitatively measured and reconsidered from the positions of the UN SDGs. The paper’s contribution consists in substantiating a systemic interconnection between the social and financial risks of investments in innovations and the possibility of complex management of all these risks based on corporate social responsibility. The theoretical value of this paper consists in overcoming the gap in studying the social and financial risks of investments in innovations. The practical value of the authors’ conclusions and recommendations consists in the developed framework strategy being a practical guide for the systemic management of the risks of investments based on corporate social responsibility.

Mechanism of Implementation of “Green” Investment-Innovative Initiatives in “Smart” Production Under the Control of Artificial Intelligence in the Interests of Environmental Safety of the Region

EnergyTech is a promising investment project for three reasons. The first reason is the overall high investment attractiveness of energy projects due to high global energy demand and broad prospects for return on investment (Ayub et al., 2022; Verba et al., 2022). The second reason is that EnergyTech is not just “smart” technologies in the energy sector but a transition to clean energy (Ratner et al., 2022; Štreimikienė et al., 2022). The implementation of projects on the creation of “smart” infrastructure in the field of clean (renewable) energy allows the operation of infrastructure facilities for a longer period compared to projects for the extraction and use of non-renewable energy (for example, fossil fuels) (Gallo et al., 2020; Sisodia et al., 2020; Ratner et al., 2021). The third reason is the strategic importance of the projects under consideration for the state, combined with their high social significance, providing support for the state and society (Knayer and Kryvinska, 2022; Kamruzzaman and Alruwaili, 2022). The focus of this article is the problem related to the fact that, despite the prospects, investment projects in the field of EnergyTech in 2020–2021 faced the problem of a shortage of financial resources due to the COVID-19 crisis. In the existing literature, much attention is paid to the issues of energy financing. Chien et al. (2021), Gong et al. (2021), Li et al. (2022), Popkova et al. (2019) in their works point to the key role of financing in the development of the energy economy, and also note that this role is to ensure the lack of energy resources for economic systems. The cited works emphasize the infrastructure formative function of the energy sector in the system of entrepreneurship, as well as the need for energy availability to maintain a high quality of life of the population, ensure uninterrupted industrial production and continuous economic growth. Taking into account the general economic downturn, the worsening investment climate, acute government budget deficits and the increase in public debt in many countries, Iqbal and Bilal (2021), Taghizadeh-Hesary et al. (2022), Tran (2021) note that in the context of the COVID-19 crisis, the amount of financing for EnergyTech decreased and progress in its development has slowed down. The works of Lean and Lee (2022), Popkova et al. (2021), Zhao et al. (2022), Zhou and Liu (2022) also indicate that the pandemic and the COVID-19 crisis had a contradictory impact on EnergyTech, on the one hand, causing a shortage of its financing and increased risks of practical implementation of SDG 7, but, on the other hand, by creating common financing conditions for the countries of the world, thereby ensuring equal opportunities for the development of EnergyTech in developed and developing countries.
