Temozolomide promotes genomic and phenotypic changes in glioblastoma cells
A. A. Stepanenko,S V Andreieva,Kateryna Korets,Dmytro Mykytenko,Vladimir P. Baklaushev,Nataliya Huleyuk,Oksana Kovalova,Kateryna Kotsarenko,Vladimir P. Chekhonin,Yegor S. Vassetzky,Stanislav Avdieiev,V. V. Dmitrenko +11 more
TL;DR: Long-term TMZ treatment selected resistant genotype-phenotype variants or generated novel versatile phenotypes by increasing CIN, and an increase of resistance to TMZ re-challenge seems to be the only predictable trait intrinsic to all long- term TMZ-treated tumour cells.
Global methylation status of sperm DNA in carriers of chromosome structural aberrations.
Marta Olszewska,Miroslawa Z. Barciszewska,Monika Fraczek,Nataliya Huleyuk,Vyacheslav B. Chernykh,Danuta Zastavna,Jan Barciszewski,Maciej Kurpisz +7 more
TL;DR: The low chromatin integrity might be associated with the high hypomethylation status of the sperm DNA observed in carriers of chromosome structural aberrations, and the potential relationship between sperm chromatin Integrity status and sperm DNA fragmentation was represented in a clearly opposite manner.

Genetic dosage and position effect of small supernumerary marker chromosome (sSMC) in human sperm nuclei in infertile male patient.
Marta Olszewska,Elzbieta Wanowska,Archana Kishore,Nataliya Huleyuk,Andrew Georgiadis,Alexander N. Yatsenko,Mariya Mikula,Danuta Zastavna,Ewa Wiland,Maciej Kurpisz +9 more
TL;DR: Significant repositioning of chromosomes X and Y towards the nuclear periphery is found, suggesting the possible influence of sSMC/XY colocalization on meiotic chromosome division, resulting in abnormal chromosome segregation, and leading to male infertility in the patient.
Chromatin structure analysis of spermatozoa from reciprocal chromosome translocation (RCT) carriers with known meiotic segregation patterns.
Marta Olszewska,Monika Fraczek,Nataliya Huleyuk,Anna Czernikiewicz,Ewa Wiland,Magdalena Boksa,Danuta Zastavna,Barbara Panasiuk,Alina T. Midro,Maciej Kurpisz +9 more
TL;DR: It is found that the mean level of sperm DNA fragmentation in the RCT carrier group was significantly higher than the mean of the control group, and a correlation between the frequencies of genetically normal/balanced spermatozoa and of gametes with mature chromatin was observed.

Cytogenetic and immunogenetic analysis of recurrent pregnancy loss in women.
Danuta Zastavna,K. Sosnina,O. Terpylyak,Nataliya Huleyuk,H. Bezkorovayna,M. Mikula,N. Helner +6 more
TL;DR: Karyotyping of 366 couples with early recurrent pregnancy losses in anamnesis revealed chromosomal anomalies and ELISA-mediated detection of serum IL-10 and IFn-γ showed a possibly significant increase of IFN-γ in women with the history of early reproductive losses when compared to reproductively healthy women.
