Influence of Direct Energy Deposition Parameters on Ti–6Al–4V Component’s Structure-Property Homogeneity
Chan Hyeok Lee,P.L. Narayana,Seong-Woo Choi,N.S. Reddy,Jae Kim,Namhyun Kang,Jae-Keun Hong +6 more
- 28 May 2021
TL;DR: In this paper, the microstructure and hardness of each region were investigated with respect to various DED process parameters, and an ANN model was used to correlate the measured characteristics of the FZ, HAZ, and BM of Ti-6Al-4V components with the process parameters.

Effects of Welding Condition on Microstructure and Mechanical Property of Energy Resistance Welding Alloy Steel Pipes
Kyung-Min Lee,Dong-Eon Lee,Sung-Woong Kim,Byung-Hyun Yoon,Hee-Jae Kang,Namhyun Kang,Kyung-Mox Cho +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of heat input and alloying elements on microstructure and mechanical properties of energy resistance welding (ERW) pipes has been investigated and it has been shown that the ferrite amount in the weld centerline was larger than t at the weld boundary.

Microstructure Evolution of Ti-6Al-4Fe-0.25Si through Aging Heat Treatment
Jong-Taek Yeom,Yong Hwan Song,Joo-Hee Kang,Chan Hee Park,Seong-Woong Kim,Yong-Taek Hyun,Namhyun Kang +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of aging heat treatment on microstructure evolution of the Ti-6Al-4Fe-0.25Si alloy with an initial micro-structure of an elongated alpha was investigated.
Intermetallic Compounds Behavior at Laser Overlay Interface of Aluminum and Fe-based Powder
Namhyun Kang,Yeon-Gon Yoo,Chang-Woo Lee,Jeong-Han Kim +3 more
- 19 Jul 2007
TL;DR: In this article, a CO2 laser overlay was conducted by using a Fe-based powder on the AC2B aluminum substrate, and cracks and intermetallic compounds (IMC) were observed inconsistently along the interface between the overlay and post-molten layer.
Effects of Mn and C Addition on the Wear Resistance for the Recycled WC Dispersed Fe-base Hardfacing Weld
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the abrasion and impact wear resistance on the hardfacing weld dispersed with the recycled hard metal (HM), which was composed of the tungsten carbide(WC) reinforced metal matrix composite.
