Ultrasonic satellite system for the positioning of mobile robots
Jung-Min Lee,Dong Hwal Lee,HeeTae An,Nam Huh,Myoung Kook Kim,Man Hyung Lee +5 more
- 02 Nov 2004
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a new method to increase the accuracy of estimated position using the U-SAT (Ultrasonic Satellite system), which is composed of a distance measurement using ultrasonic wave and the position acquisition in the world coordinate using the GPS.

Dual clutch transmission and dual clutch actuators thereof
Thomas C. Bowen,Nam Huh +1 more
- 13 Mar 2013
TL;DR: In this paper, a dual-clutch transmission with a first input shaft and a second input shaft is described, where the first and second clutters are arranged in a circularly arranged pattern with the first clutters alternately interleaved with the second clutches.

Gear Shifting Actuator and Method of Shifting Gear Ratios
Thomas C. Bowen,Nam Huh +1 more
- 15 Apr 2010
TL;DR: A gear shifting device for shifting gears of a transmission comprises: at least one guide rail each extending in a longitudinal axis thereof; a plurality of shift effecting members (e.g., shift forks or the like) configured to move a plurality corresponding sliding sleeves coupled to the guide rail for shifting gear upon actuation of a shift actuator; and a shift shaft having a shift finger coupled thereto.

Range shift system for transfer case
Thomas C. Bowen,Nam Huh,Jeong Yong Yun,Il Hun Ryu +3 more
- 27 Dec 2013
TL;DR: In this article, a range shift mechanism in the form of a floating planetary gear assembly for a transfer case is described, which can improve power efficiency and generate low noises by suppressing gear rotation in a high range mode of the system.

DC-Link Voltage Stabilization Using d-Axis Current Injection for SPMSM Driver with Small DC-Link Capacitance
TL;DR: In this paper, an active damping method using d-axis current injection was proposed to suppress dc-link voltage fluctuations in motor drivers. But, the proposed method is not suitable for motor drivers with high voltage and low capacitance.
