Herbal medicines have long been used as a traditional mode of therapy for various ailments in India. They are being used increasingly as dietary supplements to ward off common diseases. Periodontal diseases are highly prevalent and can affect up to 90% of the world population. Gingivitis is the mild form whereas periodontitis results in an irreversible loss of supporting structures of the teeth. Even though periodontal pathogens form a crucial component in the etiopathogenesis of periodontitis, there is a growing body of evidence suggesting oxidative stress playing a pivotal role in the disease initiation and progression. Studies have shown a direct correlation between increased levels of biomarkers for tissue damage induced by reactive oxygen species (ROS) to the severity of periodontal disease. Thus, the focus of attention has revolved back to herbal medicines due to their wide spectrum of biological and medicinal activities, lower costs, and higher safety margin. Internet databases Pubmed and Google Scholar were searched, and the most relevant articles were considered for review. This review briefly describes the various herbs with antioxidant capacity and their potency in the treating periodontal disease.

Radiomics is a novel concept that relies on obtaining image data from examinations such as computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), or positron emission tomography (PET). With the appropriate algorithm, the extracted results have broad applicability and potential for a massive positive impact in radiology. For example, clinicians can verify treatment efficiency, predict the location of tumor metastasis, correlate results with a histopathological examination, or more accurately define the type of cancer. Combining radiomics with other testing techniques allows every patient to have a personalized treatment plan that is essential for advanced examination and treatment. This article explains the process of radiomics, including data collection mechanisms, combined use with genomics, and artificial intelligence and immunology techniques, which may solve many of the challenges faced by doctors in diagnosing and treating their patients.

Application of Radiomics for Personalized Treatment of Cancer Patients.

Ethnopharmacological relevance: Diarrhoea is a serious problem affecting 3–5 billion people per year around the world especially children of beow 5 yr. 70% of world population uses traditional and indigenous medicine for their primary health care. The facts of these indigenous remedies are passed verbally and some times as documents. Since ancient time, Ayurveda is the main system of healing in South East Asian countries. Indian literature from ayurvedic texts and other books claim the potency of several plants in the treatment of diarrhoea. As the global prospective of Ayurvedic medicine is increasing, interest regarding the scientific basis of their action is parallely increasing. Researchers are doing experiments to establish the relation between the claimed action and observed pharmacological activities. In the present article an attempt was made to compile the scientific basis of medicinal plants used to cure diarrhoea in Ayurveda. 
Methods: Literature was collected via electronic search (PubMed, Sciencedirect, Medline and Google Scholar) from published articles that reports antidiarrhoeal activity of plants that were mentioned in Ayurveda classics.
Results: A total of 110 plant species belonging to 59 families were reported for their antidiarrhoeal activity. 
Conclusion: Several Indian medicinal plants have demonstrated promising antidiarrhoeal effects but the studies on the antidiarrhoeal potentials of these plants are not taken beyond proof of concept stage. It is hoped that the article would stimulate future clinical studies because of the paucity of knowledge in this area.

Therapeutic significance and pharmacological activities of Antidiarrhoeal medicinal plants mention in Ayurveda: A review -

The plant Plectranthus amboinicus (Lour.) Spreng belongs to family Lamiaceae, known as
country borage in English. The anti-oxidant potential of aqueous and ethanolic extract of leaves
of Plectranthus amboinicus (Lour) Spreng was investigated by DPPH assay, reducing power
assay and nitric acid screening methods. The preliminary phytochemical analysis showed
presence of alkaloids, carbohydrates, glycosides, proteins, amino acids, flavonoids, quinine,
tannins, phenolic compounds and terpenoids. The total phenolic content is also evaluated as they
contribute in anti-oxidant property. The anti-oxidant potential and reducing power of both
extracts increased with increasing concentration of extract (50 g A¢Â€Â“ 250 g). Phenolic contents of
ethanolic and aqueous extracts were found 11.6 AŽÂ¼g and 9.4 AŽÂ¼g gallic acid equivalent per mg of
extracts respectively. This study is to verify the anti-oxidant potential and to evaluate total
phenolic contents in Plectranthus amboinicus (Lour.) Spreng leaves.

It plays an important role in the drug discovery and development and involves steps including data preparation, data analysis, and model validation. Validation is important process in QSAR analysis. After correlation between, independent and dependent variable with the help of various statistical methods the model will developed now that model should be validated. Various types of statistical methods are used in QSAR analysis such as principle component analysis, cluster analysis, simple linear regression, multiple linear regressions, partial least square, K-Nearest Neighbor classification, neural network, logistic regression and many others. After the development of model it is necessary to find out how predictive a model is that is concept of validation, which finds out the accuracy of model to predict the activity of bioactive compound. Validation is important in QSAR analysis since it is not necessary that a good model always have a good ability to predict the activity of respective bioactive agents. Validation involves external and internal validation to predict external and internal predictivity respectively. Cross validation (K-fold cross-validation, leaveone- out cross-validation, leave-ten-out or leave-many-out cross-validation), bootstrap method, randomization, jack- knife, hold out validation methods are used for internal validation to predict the internal validity. In the external validation data selection plays an important role because the distribution of the properties (variables) should be uniform in both of the sets that are test set and training set. There are various method through which the original data can accurately divided involving manual selection, randomization, sphere exclusion method and other methods such as onion design, cluster analysis, factorial, full factorial experiment, self organizing map(SOM), and principle component analysis. With the help of various statistical measures such as n, k, df, r2, q2, pred_ r2 etc. and there recommended values we can easily validate the model
