Bikaverin and fusaric acid from Fusarium oxysporum show antioomycete activity against Phytophthora infestans.
S.W. Son,Hyeyoung Kim,G.J. Choi,H.K. Lim,K.S. Jang,S.O. Lee,Seon-Woo Lee,Nack-Do Sung,Jin-Cheol Kim +8 more
TL;DR: To isolate and identify antioomycete substances from Fusarium oxysporum EF119 against Phytophthora infestans and to investigate their antimicrobial activities against various plant pathogenic bacteria, oomycetes and true fungi.

Some fungal endophytes from vegetable crops and their anti-oomycete activities against tomato late blight.
Hyeyoung Kim,Gyung Ja Choi,Hyang Burm Lee,Seon-Woo Lee,H.K. Lim,K.S. Jang,Seung Wan Son,S.O. Lee,K.Y. Cho,Nack-Do Sung,Jin-Cheol Kim +10 more
TL;DR: The objective is to isolate endophytic fungi from vegetable plants and examine their in vivo anti‐oomycete activity against Phytophthora infestans in tomato plants.

Anti-tumor activity of the farnesyl-protein transferase inhibitors arteminolides, isolated from Artemisa.
Seung Ho Lee,Mi-Young Lee,Hyun-Mi Kang,Dong Cho Han,Kwang-Hee Son,Deok Cho Yang,Nack-Do Sung,Chang Woo Lee,Hwan Mook Kim,Byoung-Mog Kwon +9 more
TL;DR: Arteminolides A-D and C blocked in vivo growth of human colon and lung tumor xenograft without the loss of body weight in nude mice and inhibited tumor cell growth in a dose-dependent manner, validating anti-tumor effects of the compounds.

Biflavonoids inhibited phosphatase of regenerating liver-3 (PRL-3)
Sung‐Kyu Choi,Hyun-Mi Oh,Su-Kyung Lee,Dae Gwin Jeong,Seong Eon Ryu,Kwang-Hee Son,Dong Cho Han,Nack-Do Sung,Nam-In Baek,Byoung-Mog Kwon +9 more
TL;DR: Two biflavonoids, ginkgetin and sciadopitysin, were isolated from the MeOH extract of the young branches of Taxus cuspidata, which inhibited phosphatase of regenerating liver-3 (PRL-3) with IC50 values of 25.8 and 46.2 μM, respectively.

Human ACAT-1 and ACAT-2 inhibitory activities of pentacyclic triterpenes from the leaves of Lycopus lucidus TURCZ.
TL;DR: Pentacyclic triterpenes, ursolic acids, oleanolic acid, and betulinic acid were isolated from the methanol extracts of the leaves of Lycopus lucidus TURCZ by bioassay-guided fractionation and their structures were elucidated by their spectroscopic data analysis.
