URI expression in cervical cancer cells is associated with higher invasion capacity and resistance to cisplatin.
Junxia Gu,Yuting Liang,Longwei Qiao,Yaojuan Lu,Xiaoxia Hu,Dongwei Luo,Na Li,Leilei Zhang,Yiyang Chen,Jialu Du,Qiping Zheng +10 more
TL;DR: The in vitro effect of URI is investigated using two cervical cancer cell lines CaSki and C33A, which are HPV-positive and HPV-negative respectively, and it is found that URI over-expression enhanced resistance of cervical cancer cells to cisplatin and promoted apoptosis, supporting URI as an oncogenic protein for cervical cancer Cells.

Col10a1-Runx2 transgenic mice with delayed chondrocyte maturation are less susceptible to developing osteoarthritis
Yaojuan Lu,Ming Ding,Na Li,Qian Wang,Jun Li,Xin Li,Junxia Gu,Hee Jeong Im,Guanghua Lei,Qiping Zheng +9 more
TL;DR: Analysis of skeletal phenotypes of transgenic mice over-expressing Runx2 shows characteristic pathology of fibrotic remodeling at the joint margins and focal cartilage erosion, while the joints in TG mice were essentially protected from remodeling responses, demonstrating that mice with delayed chondrocyte hypertrophy are not susceptible to developing OA.

URI prevents potassium dichromate-induced oxidative stress and cell death in gastric cancer cells.
Dongwei Luo,Zhonghai Xu,Xiaoxia Hu,Fei Zhang,Huiqin Bian,Na Li,Qian Wang,Yaojuan Lu,Qiping Zheng,Junxia Gu +9 more
TL;DR: Results suggest that URI is preventive for the oxidative stress and cell death induced by potassium dichromate, which potentially leads to cancer cell survival and therapeutic resistance.

Expression of epidermal growth factor-like domain 7 correlates with clinicopathological features of osteosarcoma.
TL;DR: Wang et al. as discussed by the authors investigated the expression of EGFL7 and explored its correlation with the clinicopathological features of osteosarcoma using immunohistochemical staining using CD34 antibody.

URI promotes gastric cancer cell motility, survival, and resistance to adriamycin in vitro.
Xiaoxia Hu,Fei Zhang,Dongwei Luo,Na Li,Qian Wang,Zhonghai Xu,Huiqin Bian,Yuting Liang,Yaojuan Lu,Qiping Zheng,Junxia Gu +10 more
TL;DR: The results support that URI promotes cell survival and mobility and acts as a chemotherapeutics resistant protein in MGC-803 and HGC-27 cells and might be a potential biomarker for gastric cancer diagnostics and prognostics.
