PXIE: Project X Injector Experiment
Peter Ostroumov,R. Kephart,N. Solyak,C.S. Mishra,J.S. Kerby,Stephen Holmes,Valeri Lebedev,S. Nagaitsev,D. Li,R. Stanek,A.V. Shemyakin +10 more
- 01 May 2012
TL;DR: The Project X Injector Experiment (PXIE) as discussed by the authors is a test facility for the front end of Project X. PXIE will include an H{sup -} ion source, a CW 2.1-MeV RFQ and two superconductive RF (SRF) cryomodules providing up to 25 MeV energy gain at an average beam current of 1 mA.

High order modes in Project-X linac
A. Sukhanov,Andrei Lunin,V.P. Yakovlev,Mohamed H. Awida,Mark Champion,C.M. Ginsburg,Ivan Gonin,Chuck Grimm,T.N.Khabiboulline,Thomas H. Nicol,Yu. Orlov,A. Saini,Dmitri Sergatskov,N. Solyak,A. Vostrikov +14 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the effect of high order modes (HOMs) excited in continues-wave (CW) superconducting linac of Project-X and concluded that HOM couplers/dampers are not needed in the project-X SC RF cavities.
