In vitro antioxidant, anti-glycation, and bile acid-lowering capacity of peanut milk fermented with Lactiplantibacillus plantarum Kinko-SU4
TL;DR: In this article , the antioxidant, anti-glycation and bile acid-lowering properties of PM fermented with lactic acid bacteria Lactiplantibacillus plantarum Kinko-SU4 (FPM) were determined in vitro.

Detection and isolation of typical gut indigenous bacteria in ICR mice fed wheat bran and wheat straw fibre
Natsumi Takei,Takashi Kumada,N. Handa,Sae Fujita,Hajime Takahashi,Bon Kimura +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the caecal microbiome was analyzed by 16S rDNA (V4 region) amplicon sequencing and the typical colonies were isolated and estimated by 16 s rRNA gene BLASTn analysis.

Detection and isolation of typical gut indigenous bacteria in mice fed corn starch, bread flour or whole wheat flour
TL;DR: In this article , the authors used 16S rRNA(V4) gene amplicon sequencing to confirm the existence and roles of bread flour (BF)- and whole wheat flour (WWF)-responsive gut indigenous bacteria (RIB) to reveal the gut microbiota-mediated properties of WWF.

Ecklonia cava subsp. kurome and E. cava subsp. stolonifera can aid regulation of gut microbiota in mice fed a high-sucrose and low-dietary fibre diet
Sae Fujita,Ga-Soon Lee,Hajime Takahashi,Ayaka Nakamura,Kazuya Koga,N. Handa,Takashi Kumada,Yumeng Xia +7 more
TL;DR: Total phenolic content, antioxidant capacity, and anti-glycation capacities of dried EK and ES were higher than those of Eisenia bicyclis and Eisenia nipponica in vitro, and these EK- and ES-responsive indigenous gut bacteria have been regarded as beneficial commensal for host health.
