Alendronate Reduces Adhesion of Human Osteoclast-like Cells to Bone and Bone Protein-Coated Surfaces
S. Colucci,V. Minielli,G. Zambonin,N Cirulli,Giorgio Mori,Massimo Serra,Vittorio Patella,A. Zambonin Zallone,Maria Grano +8 more
TL;DR: Adhesion assays showed that, although the morphology of osteoclasts plated onto pretreated bone slices was not modified, the number of adherent cells was reduced, suggesting that the inhibitory effect of ALN on cell adhesion could probably be due to the interference with receptors specifically recognizing bone matrix proteins as αVβ3 integrins.

Lymphocytes and synovial fluid fibroblasts support osteoclastogenesis through RANKL, TNFα, and IL‐7 in an in vitro model derived from human psoriatic arthritis
Silvia Colucci,Giacomina Brunetti,Francesco Paolo Cantatore,Angela Oranger,Giorgio Mori,L. Quarta,N Cirulli,Lucia Mancini,Addolorata Corrado,Felice Roberto Grassi,Maria Grano +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the involvement of RANKL, TNFalpha, and IL-7 in the osteoclastogenesis of PsA patients, and they showed that the presence of either anti-RANKL and anti-TNFα functional antibodies or anti-IL-7 functional antibodies significantly reduced the bone resorption.
