Phospholipid monolayers of di-oleoyl lecithin at the mercury/water interface
Andrew Nelson,N. Auffret +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the formation and properties of monolayers of di-oleoyl lecithin (di-O-PC) at the mercury/water interface are reported.

Phospholipid monolayers of di-oleoyl lecithin (di-O-PC) at the mercury/water interface: Effects on faradaic reactions
Andrew Nelson,N. Auffret +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the electrochemistry of Cd, anthraquinone-2-sulphonate (aq-2s) and oxygen (O 2 ) at a di-oleoyl lecithin (di-O-PC) coated mercury electrode is described.
53
Initial applications of phospholipid-coated mercury electrodes to the determination of polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons and other organic micropollutants in aqueous systems
TL;DR: In this article, the capacitance/voltage curves were recorded by phase-sensitive a.c. voltammetry and the response was quantitatively related to the concentration of PAH in solution.

Interaction Of Xenobiotics With Mercury-Adsorbed Phospholipid Monolayers
Andrew Nelson,N. Auffret +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of toxic compounds on lecithin films was investigated by measuring the capacitance-potential curves of the adsorbed phospholipid, and the response to these compounds was manifested as a change in the potential and height of two capacitance peaks.

Interaction of hydrophobic organic compounds with mercury adsorbed dioleoylphosphatidylcholine monolayers.
TL;DR: The effect of four groups of hydrophobic aromatic compounds on a mercury-adsorbed dioleoylphosphatidylcholine (DOPC) monolayer is described and a molecular selectivity of phospholipid monolayers to these compounds is indicated which has implications for their effect on biological membranes.
