Determination of catalase activity using chromogenic probe involving iso-nicotinicacidhydrazide and pyrocatechol.
Anantharaman Shivakumar,Padmarajaiah Nagaraja,N. A. Chamaraja,Honnur Krishna,Krishnegowda Avinash +4 more
TL;DR: A biocatalatic pathway involving chromogenic probe has been proposed for the determination of catalase activity by means of iso-nicotinicacidhydrazide (INH) and pyrocatechol (PC), based on the enzymatic consumption of hydrogen peroxide using INH-PC system.

Studies on radon concentration in drinking water around Hemavathi river basin, Karnataka State, India
TL;DR: The radon concentration in water ranged from 2.7-±-0.1 to 138.5-Bq-l−1 with a geometrical mean of 25.3 −1.1−Bq−1 as mentioned in this paper.

Quantification of antioxidants by using chlorpromazine hydrochloride: application of the method to food and medicinal plant samples.
Padmarajaiah Nagaraja,Narayanan Aradhana,Aandamurthy Suma,Anantharaman Shivakumar,N. A. Chamaraja +4 more
TL;DR: A method to determine the antioxidant activity of some food and medicinal plants using the oxidation of CPH by chromium(VI) to form a stable CPH radical in the 1:1 orthophosphoric acid-ethyl alcohol (OPA-EtOH) medium is reported.

Quantification and evaluation of kinetic bio-catalytic pathway of horseradish peroxidase in an electron mediated reaction system and its applications in plant extracts.
Honnur Krishna,Padmarajaiah Nagaraja,Anantharaman Shivakumar,N. A. Chamaraja,Narayan Aradhana +4 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that DMA/peroxidase system can be a better hydrogen donor for HRP assay than guaiacol system as evident from kinetic data.

Synthesis and functionalization of silver ferrite (AgFe2O3) nanoparticles with L-methionine: In vivo toxicity studies against Drosophila melanogaster (Diptera: Drosophilidae)
TL;DR: In this paper , a simple and rapid solution precipitation method using ammonium hydroxide as a complexing agent was used to synthesize silver ferrite nanoparticles (AgFe2O3 NPs) for in vivo administration to Drosophila melanogaster (DM) flies.
