Various technologies and techniques are disclosed that automatically optimize package execution performance. A profiling phase executes each task in a control flow package and measures performance metrics, such as task execution length, task memory usage, task correlation to CPU versus input/output operations, network bandwidth, and running applications. An optimization phase optimizes subsequent executions of the package by using the performance metrics to make appropriate adjustments to the package. The profiling phase and optimizing phase are repeated over a period of time as appropriate to improve the package's performance without requiring a user to make adjustments to the tasks in the package.

Automatically optimize performance of package execution

Systems, methods, and machine-readable media are described for retrieving data associated with files using input feeds. Embodiments include generating input feed schemas, which can be used to create data objects from input data of the input feeds. The input data and the corresponding data objects can include information regarding files, such as the universal resource indicator (URI) of a file. The data objects can then be stored.

Dynamic application programming interface

Instantiating a resource of an IT-service includes: analyzing a service model including nodes representing resources and being indicative of a resource type, each node comprising a generic API providing at least one abstract method for instantiating the resource represented by the respective node. For each node, determining the resource type indicated by the node; evaluating a service provider catalog indicative of a resource manager operable to provide a resource of a given resource type and determining an address of the resource manager; selecting a resource manager; sending a request to the address of the selected resource manager for a description of a resource-manager-specific API of the resource manager; receiving the requested description from the selected resource manager; overriding the abstract method by a resource-manager specific method of the resource-manager-specific API for instantiating the resource; and executing the overridden abstract method for instantiating the resource represented by the node.

A survey can include recording measurements of an environment variable at various locations of the venue. The location service can generate location fingerprint data from the survey. The location fingerprint data can include expected measurements of the environment variable at various locations of the building. The venue data service can provide the location fingerprint data to a mobile device such that the mobile device can determine a location of the mobile device in the venue using sensor readings of the environment variable.

Systems and methods for managing information technology (IT) resources can include at least one resource definition. The resource definition specifies a location and identity of a corresponding resource, and methods that can be performed on the resource. An instance of the resource that includes information from the at least one resource definition is stored. A package is generated based on at least one execution unit (EU), workflow associated with the EU, and the resource definition, wherein the package causes the resource to perform at least one of the methods.
