Magnetically tunable dielectric materials
Gavin Lawes,Tsuyoshi Kimura,Chandra Varma,Munirpallam A. Subramanian,R. J. Cava,A. P. Ramirez +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, a model for spin-phonon coupling was discussed for multiferroic Ni3V2O8, showing that the spin-spin correlation function couples to phonon frequencies leading to a shift in the dielectric constant.

Intense Turquoise Colors of Apatite‐Type Compounds with Mn5+ in Tetrahedral Coordination.
TL;DR: In this article, solid solutions of Ba5Mn3-xVxO12Cl (x = 0-3.0) and Ba5mn3xPxO 12Cl (X = 0 − 3.0 ) are prepared by solid state reaction of stoichiometric amounts of BaCO3, MnO2, V2O5, BaCl2, and (NH4)2HPO4 (Al2O3 crucible, 800 °C, 24 h).

Lattice Effects in Perovskite and Pyrochlore CMR Materials
George H. Kwei,D. N. Argyriou,Simon J. L. Billinge,A. C. Lawson,John J. Neumeier,Arthur P. Ramirez,Munirpallam A. Subramanian,Joe D. Thompson +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the double-exchange interaction was found to be the driving force for the CMR transition in doped La manganite thin films, where M = divalent ion, either Ca or Pb.

Compositions comprising CF3 CF2 CHF2 and their manufacture
V. N. Mallikarjuna Rao,Allen Capron Sievert,Munirpallam A. Subramanian +2 more
- 20 Aug 1998
TL;DR: In this paper, a process for recovering HF from a product mixture including HF and CF3 CF2 CHF2 was described, which involves (1) distilling the product mixture to remove all products which have a lower boiling point than the lowest boiling azeotrope containing HF, and (2) recovering HF as an azeotropic composition containing HF and CFA.

New [Ru(NH3)6]MF6 phases: precursors to catalysts for halogenation reactions
TL;DR: A series of hexamminoruthenium (III) hexafluorometallates of the type [Ru(NH 3 ) 6 ]MF 6 (M = Al, Ga, In, Sc, V, Cr, Fe) were synthesized for the first time from the aqueous solutions of the corresponding salts as mentioned in this paper.
