Selection of potential oils for biodiesel production
Mukesh Kumar,Mahendra Pal Sharma +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors classified the oils on the basis of diesel CP and PP into three main categories: best, moderate and poor oils, and classified them based on both CFP and oxidation stability.

Impact of n-butanol as an additive with eucalyptus biodiesel-diesel blends on the performance and emission parameters of the diesel engine
TL;DR: In this paper, the influence of butanol (Bu)-biodiesel (B)-diesel fuels on the diesel engine was examined and it was found that slight increase in brake power and higher brake specific fuel consumption (BSFC) are attained with butanol-biodiel-diesel- fuels, while brake thermal efficiency was decreased.

Assessment of potential of oils for biodiesel production
Mukesh Kumar,Mahendra Pal Sharma +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors classify different oils on the basis of oxidation stability index (OSI), so that one can select the oils with high OSI for the production of biodiesel which do not require additives to enhance the fuel stability and the biodiesel quality would remain unchanged for the period of OSI and before that, the fuel is expected to be entirely utilized for engine operation.

Algae Oil as Future Energy Source in Indian Perspective
TL;DR: In view of increasing energy demand, climate change, increasing price of petroleum and most importantly the fossil fuel resources will be diminished rapidly as discussed by the authors, the transport fuels are needed to replace by bio fuel from renewable sources.

Status and Policy of Biodiesel Development in India
TL;DR: In view of the fast depletion of petroleum products, the search for alternative fuels has become necessary, looking at huge demand of diesel for all sectors of economy, the biodiesel is being viewed a substitute of diesel as mentioned in this paper.
