Surface Hardening of M2 High Speed Steel Using 50 Hz Pulsed DC Source With Nitrogen as a Base Gas
TL;DR: In this article, a low pressure plasma chamber and a 50 Hz pulsed DC source were used for high speed steel ion nitriding of M2 high-speed steel by using X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and Vickers's microhardness testing, which confirmed the formation of a compound layer on the exposed surface.
