Acoustic properties of glass fiber assembly-filled honeycomb sandwich panels
Yong Yang,Yong Yang,Binbin Li,Zhaofeng Chen,Ni Sui,Zhou Chen,Muhammad Umar Saeed,Yufang Li,Renli Fu,Cao Wu,Yun Jing +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a new composite structure (glass fiber assembly-filled honeycomb sandwich panel) is prepared in order to improve the acoustic properties of a honeycomb panel, and the effect of glass fiber assembly with different filling shapes (random and fiber ball), fiber diameter, fiber content and air-layer on acoustic properties are explored.

Fabrication and characterization of low-cost and green vacuum insulation panels with fumed silica/rice husk ash hybrid core material
TL;DR: In this paper, a novel fiber/powder hybrid core materials (HCMs) containing various combination ratios of fumed silica (FS), rice husk ash (RHA), carbon black, titanium dioxide and polyester chopped strand were prepared by dry powder mixing method.

Compression behavior of laminated composites subjected to damage induced by low velocity impact and drilling
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the effect of two common damage types; impact and drilling on compression strength of woven carbon fiber reinforced epoxy composites and found that impact damage has more deleterious effect on the compression strength than drilling.

Structural modification on Dimethoxythienothiophene based non-fullerene acceptor molecule for construction of high-performance organic chromophores by employing DFT approach
Muhammad Umar Saeed,Javed Iqbal,Rana Farhat Mehmood,Muhammad Tariq Riaz,Sahar Javaid Akram,H. H. Somaily,Ahmed Shawky,Muhammad Raheel,Muhammad Imran Khan,Ehsan Ullah Rashid,Rasheed Ahmad Khera +10 more
TL;DR: In this article , seven new acceptor molecules (N1,N7) have been designed by the end-group modification of A-D-A type reference molecule TTDTC-4F (R).

Effect of cross-sectional morphology and composite structure of glass fiber felts on their corresponding acoustic properties
Yong Yang,Yong Yang,Binbin Li,Zhaofeng Chen,Muhammad Umar Saeed,Zhou Chen,Chengdong Li,Cao Wu,Yufang Li,Renli Fu +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of cross-sectional morphologies and composite structures of glass fiber felts on their corresponding acoustic properties was investigated. But the results showed that sound transmission loss (STL) of a glass fiber fiber with layered cross-section structure exhibits greater than that with a random crosssectional structure and there is a little difference between the absorption coefficient values for random and layered crosssection.
