Renewable Energy Consumption and Carbon Emissions—Testing Nonlinearity for Highly Carbon Emitting Countries
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors have selected the top ten highly carbon emitting countries to assess renewable energy consumption dynamics for 1991 to 2018, and the empirical results estimated with a pooled mean group (PMG) method indicate that renewable energies consumption and hydropower follow inverted U-shaped behavior, with wind and solar energy consumption behavior also U -shaped.

Investigating the impact of economic growth on environment degradation in developing economies through STIRPAT model approach
TL;DR: In this article , the authors investigated the economic factors underlying the current scenario of environmental deterioration, and the role of innovations in achieving sustainable development, and found that innovations can facilitate the achievement of EKC at lower levels of growth.

Sustainability assessment using STIRPAT approach to environmental quality: an extended panel data analysis
TL;DR: In this article, the authors focused on 80 selected countries between 1990 and 2017, which confirmed the existence of environmental Kuznets curve (EKC) within the STIRPAT framework.

Distribution-based effects of disaggregated GDP and environmental quality-a case of quantile on quantile estimates.
TL;DR: In this article, the authors explored the distribution oriented robust effect of disaggregated real GDP on environmental quality and provided the actual distribution of effects rather than a single value of the marginal effect.

- 01 Jan 2019
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors have adapted Kuznets curve hypothesis to propose U shaped and inverted U shaped relationship of domestic income and world income respectively on the trade balance, and confirmed the U-shaped and inverted-U-shaped relationship with respect to domestic income.
