Bartlett,Imelda Parker,Alberto Alvarez-Iglesias,Magnus Nilsson,Guillaume Piessen,Signe Risum,Narayanasamy Ravi,Raymond S. McDermott +19 more
TL;DR: The optimum combination curative approach to locally advanced adenocarcinoma of the esophagus and esophago-gastric junction (AEG) is unknown and a key question is whether neoadjuvant chemotherapy should be used.

Does antithrombotic therapy improve survival in cancer patients
TL;DR: An accumulating body of in vitro experimental evidence suggests that both heparin and warfarin have direct antineoplastic effects, and whether anticoagulant therapy may constitute a useful adjunctive therapy in the management of cancer patients without VTE is defined.

Prevention and Management of Venous Thromboembolism in People with Cancer: A Review of the Evidence
TL;DR: In this overview, the difficult clinical issues that are involved in the selection of appropriate primary and secondary thromboprophylaxis for people with cancer are systematically addressed.

Outcomes for Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma Treated with Curative Intent in a Western Cohort: Should Multimodal Therapy Be the Gold Standard?
Fiachra Sheil,Claire L. Donohoe,Sinead King,Dermot O'Toole,Moya Cunningham,Sinead Cuffe,Narayanasamy Ravi,John V. Reynolds +7 more
TL;DR: This study provides evidence, consistent with CROSS data, that multimodal therapy for SCC can provide excellent outcomes with respect to overall survival, pathologic complete response rates, R0 resections and treatment-related mortality.
