Interference declination for dynamic channel borrowing scheme in wireless networks
Shakil Ahmed,Mohammad Arif Hossain,Mostafa Zaman Chowdhury +2 more
- 23 May 2014
TL;DR: If channels are borrowed from adjacent cells, cell bifurcation will be introduced that ensures interference declination when the borrowed channels have same frequency band, and an efficient dynamic channel borrowing scheme is proposed that ensures better Quality of Service (QoS) with interference Declination.

Interface Selection for Power Management in UMTS/WLAN Overlaying Network.
Mostafa Zaman Chowdhury,Yeong Min Jang,Choong Sub Ji,Sunwoong Choi,Hongseok Jeon,Junghoon Jee,Chang-min Park +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present an efficient interface selection scheme including interface selection algorithms, interface selection mechanism and CAC considering battery power consumption for overlaying networks, which can reduce the handover latency and data loss in heterogeneous handover.

Priority based adaptive guard channel for multi-class traffic in wireless networks
Rahul Bhattacharjee,Tahsin Ahmed Chowdhury,Mostafa Zaman Chowdhury +2 more
- 27 Mar 2014
TL;DR: This work is proposing a new adaptive guard channel scheme for multi-class traffic system to minimize both the new call blocking probability of higher priority calls and keeping the channel utilization in a suitable range so that, both the performance metrics are optimized and thus provides good quality of service.

Interference Mitigation and Capacity Enhancement based on Dynamic Frequency Reuse for Femtocell Networks
TL;DR: A dynamic frequency reuse scheme for the deployment of femtocells within a macrocell with the Femtocells reusing the spectrum of neighbouring macrocells is proposed and a protective scheme for cell edge femtocell users is provided.

Intelligent Interference Management Based on On-Demand Service Connectivity for Femtocellular Networks
TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed new application of the femtocell technology with a new idea of femto-idle-mode and femtoactive-mode system and analyzed the signal-to-noise plus interference ratio level and throughput.
