Dihydrotestosterone-inducible dickkopf 1 from balding dermal papilla cells causes apoptosis in follicular keratinocytes.
Mi Hee Kwack,Young Kwan Sung,Eun Jung Chung,Sang Uk Im,Ji Seop Ahn,Moon Kyu Kim,Jung Chul Kim +6 more
TL;DR: It is found that dickkopf 1 (DKK-1) is one of the most upregulated genes in balding DP cells and the data strongly suggest that DHT-inducible DKK- 1 is involved in D HT-driven balding.

Minoxidil activates β-catenin pathway in human dermal papilla cells: a possible explanation for its anagen prolongation effect.
TL;DR: It is suggested that minoxidil extends the anagen phase by activating β-catenin activity in the DPCs by stimulating the transcriptional activity of pTopflash but not pFopflash and increasing the phosphorylation of GSK3β, PKA and PKB.

Gene expression profile analysis in human hepatocellular carcinoma by cDNA microarray.
Eun Jung Chung,Young Kwan Sung,Mohammad Farooq,Younghee Kim,Sang-Uk Im,Won Young Tak,Yoon Jin Hwang,Yang Il Kim,Hyung Soo Han,Jung-Chul Kim,Moon Kyu Kim +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, gene expression profiling of normal and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) liver tissues using a high-density microarray that contained 3,063 human cDNA was performed.

Clonal dynamics in early human embryogenesis inferred from somatic mutation
Seongyeol Park,Nanda Maya Mali,Ryul Kim,Jeong-Woo Choi,Junehawk Lee,Joonoh Lim,Jung Min Park,Jung Woo Park,Dong Hyun Kim,Taewoo Kim,Kijong Yi,June Hyug Choi,Seong Gyu Kwon,Joo Hee Hong,Jeonghwan Youk,Yohan An,Su Yeon Kim,Soo A Oh,Youngoh Kwon,Dongwan Hong,Moon Kyu Kim,Dong Sun Kim,Ji-Young Park,Ji Won Oh,Ji Won Oh,Young Seok Ju +25 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors explored whole-genomes of 334 single-cell colonies and targeted deep sequences of 379 bulk tissues obtained from various anatomical locations of seven recently deceased adult human donors.

TL;DR: This study explored whole-genomes of 334 single-cell expanded clones and targeted deep-sequences of 379 bulk tissues obtained from various anatomical locations from seven individuals to reconstructed cellular phylogenetic trees that provide novel insights into early human embryogenesis.
