Multi-nozzle print head

A method of printing a print pattern onto a substrate with a print head comprises a plurality of nozzles, where the print head has a rectangular active print head area which includes all of the nozzles. The active print head area is delimited by four sides defining a primary and a secondary direction. The method comprises i) decomposing the print pattern into a plurality of print pattern segments that have dimensions along the primary and secondary direction which are smaller than the dimensions of the active print head area along the primary and secondary direction; ii) assigning each print pattern segment to exactly one nozzle; iii) causing each nozzle to print the print pattern segment assigned to said nozzle. The print head is moved during printing of each print pattern segment within an area that is smaller than said active print head area.

According to one embodiment of the present invention, a 3D printing apparatus is disclosed. The 3D printing apparatus comprises: a printing pen, where a nozzle is provided to a front end part, discharging a metal solution stacked inside the pen to a substrate through the nozzle; and a power supply unit applying a predetermined voltage with the metal solution inside a meniscus using a metal electrode having a point of contact with the metal solution stacked inside the pen as a first electrode, and using the substrate as a second electrode in order to coat the metal solution inside the meniscus on the substrate.

A method of printing graphene nanopatterns is disclosed. The present invention provides a method of printing graphene oxide nanopatterns including the steps of: providing an ink in which graphene oxide sheets are dispersed in a solvent to a nozzle; positioning the nozzle at a predetermined point on a substrate; and printing graphene oxide nanopatterns corresponding to a moving path of the nozzle by moving the nozzle along a predetermined path on the substrate. In the step of printing the graphene oxide nanopatterns, the nanopatterns are printed by graphene oxide sheets laid up by evaporation of the solvent in a meniscus formed by the ink discharged from the nozzle between the nozzle and the substrate, and sizes of the printed graphene oxide nanopatterns are controlled by controlling a pulling speed of the nozzle. A method of printing graphene oxide nanopatterns according to the present invention additionally includes the step of thermally and chemically reduction treating the printed graphene oxide patterns. A method of printing graphene oxide nanopatterns according to the present invention is capable of printing graphene oxide patterns or graphene patterns having nano sizes of less than one micron even without a matrix for maintaining the shape.

Forming methods of graphene nano patterns, apparatus used therein, and ink therefor

This paper presents a permeameter for the measurement of the complex permeability of magnetic thin films up to several GHz. The permeameter consists of a driving coil and a pickup coil. The magnetic properties of the magnetic thin film sample inserted into the pickup coil cause the change of the coupling between the driving and pickup coil. Then, the complex permeability of the sample can be obtained from the coupling variation. The geometry is optimized with respect to sensitivity and self resonance by field simulations using HFSS. Small residual errors at low frequencies are removed through vibrating sample magnetometer measurements.

A method for the production of nano- or microscaled ID, 2D and/or 3D depositions from an solution (6), by means of a liquid reservoir (2) for holding the ink with an outer diameter (3,D) of at least 50 nm, is proposed, wherein there is provided an electrode (7,8 or 9) in contact with said ink (6) in said capillary (2), and wherein there is a counter electrode in and/or on and/or below and/or above a substrate (15) onto which the depositions are to be produced, including the steps of: i) keeping the electrode (7, 8, 9) and the counter electrode (15, 18) on an essentially equal potential; ii) establishing a potential difference between the electrode (7, 8, 9) and the counter electrode (15, 18) leading to the growth of an ink meniscus (1) at the nozzle (3) and to the ejection of droplets (13) at this meniscus with a homogeneous size smaller than the meniscus size (11) at a homogenous ejection frequency; keeping the voltage applied while the continuously dried droplets leave behind the dispersed material which leads a structure to emerge with essentially the same diameter as a single droplet, wherein the distance between the substrate (1) and the nozzle (3) is smaller than or equal to 20 times the meniscus diameter at least at the moment of nano-droplet ejection (12); wherein the conductivity of the ink (6) is high enough to stabilize the liquid meniscus during droplet ejection;

Method for nano-dripping 1d, 2d or 3d structures on a substrate

This paper presents an analytical model for the highfrequency behaviour of magnetic nanocomposites. The aim of the investigations is modeling of the physical properties like permeability, eddy currents, ferromagnetic resonance (FMR), effects of shape factors and type of packing of nanocomposite as it is required for device simulations. The comparison of simulated and measured parameters shows reasonable agreement in the high frequency behavior.
