Subphthalocyanine-radiaannulene scaffold – a multi-electron acceptor and strong chromophore
Henriette Lissau,Cecilie Lindholm Andersen,Freja Eilsø Storm,Marco Santella,Ole Hammerich,Thorsten Hansen,Kurt V. Mikkelsen,Mogens Brøndsted Nielsen +7 more
TL;DR: Two subphthalocyanine (SubPc) units and a perethynylated, alkyne-expanded radiaannulene (RA) were fused together by a four-fold Sonogashira reaction to give a compound exhibiting four reversible one-electron reductions.
On the Condensed Phase Ring-Closure of Vinylheptafulvalene and Ring-Opening of Gaseous Dihydroazulene
Oliver Schalk,Oliver Schalk,Oliver Schalk,Søren Lindbæk Broman,Michael Åxman Petersen,Dmitry Khakhulin,Rasmus Y. Brogaard,Rasmus Y. Brogaard,Mogens Brøndsted Nielsen,Andrey E. Boguslavskiy,Albert Stolow,Theis I. Sølling +11 more
TL;DR: The first gas phase study of the ring-opening reaction of 2-phenyl- 1,8a-dihydroazulene-1,1-dicarbonitrile (Ph-DHA) is shown by means of time-resolved photoelectron spectroscopy which permits us to follow theRing-opening process and shows a biexponential decay governed by a hitherto unknown state.
Dihydroazulene – Boron Subphthalocyanine Conjugates with Oligo(phenyleneethynylene) Bridging Unit: Photoswitchable Fluorophores
Esmeralda Bukuroshi,Anne C. Petersen,Cecilie D. Jensen,Martin Kühnel,Kasper Nørgaard,Timothy P. Bender,Mogens Brøndsted Nielsen +6 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors have linked the dihydroazulene (DHA) / vinylheptafulvene (VHF) photo-/thermoswitch and the boron subphthalocyanine (BsubPc) fluorophore via an axial oligo(phenyleneethynylene) bridging unit into new DHA-Bsubpc conjugates.
Tetrathiafulvalenes as building blocks in supramolecular chemistry II
TL;DR: In this article, the authors highlight developments in the field of molecular tetrathiafulvalene (TTF) chemistry and highlight the role of rotaxanes and catenanes.
Ultrathin Reduced Graphene Oxide Films as Transparent Top‐Contacts for Light Switchable Solid‐State Molecular Junctions
Tao Li,Martyn Jevric,Jonas Rahlf Hauptmann,Rune Hviid,Zhongming Wei,Rong Wang,Nini E. A. Reeler,Erling Thyrhaug,Søren Petersen,Jakob A. S. Meyer,Nicolas Bovet,Tom Vosch,Jesper Nygård,Xiaohui Qiu,Wenping Hu,Yunqi Liu,Gemma C. Solomon,Henrik G. Kjaergaard,Thomas Bjørnholm,Mogens Brøndsted Nielsen,Bo W. Laursen,Kasper Nørgaard +21 more
TL;DR: A new type of solid-state molecular junction is introduced, which employs reduced graphene oxide as a transparent top contact that permits a self-assembled molecular monolayer to be photoswitched in situ, while simultaneously enabling charge-transport measurements across the molecules.
