The Covid-19 pandemic has forced an immediate transition from face-to-face learning in classrooms to online learning, including math learning. Mathematics with abstract working objects is not easy to learn online. So, an excellent self-regulated learning ability is required. So far, many efforts have been made to improve self-regulated learning in mathematics learning. However, there are still gaps in improving students' self-regulated learning ability in online mathematics learning, especially in relation to the integration of GeoGebra into the Flipped Learning approach. The purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of integrating GeoGebra into the Flipped Learning approach to improve students' self-regulated learning ability in learning mathematics online during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research is a quasi-experimental study with a pretest-posttest control group design to compare the effectiveness of a GeoGebra-integrated Flipped Learning approach. A conventional Flipped Learning approach and a conventional learning approach increase students' self-regulated learning level in constructing their understanding of mathematical concepts during online learning in the Covid-19 pandemic. The study involved 60 students randomly selected from one of Indonesia's private universities. They were divided into three groups representing each approach. Pretest and posttest results were quantitatively analyzed using Normalized Gain (N-Gain) Score, Cohen's d effect size, and statistical descriptive. The analysis results revealed that GeoGebra-integrated Flipped Learning is more effective in increasing students' self-regulated learning level in online mathematics learning than the other two approaches. It is expected that the results of this study can provide insights into alternative solutions for improving the quality of online mathematics learning by increasing the level of self-regulated learning of students.

Integrating GeoGebra into the flipped learning approach to improve students' self-regulated learning during the covid-19 pandemic

The purpose of this study is to analyze student learning outcomes in the application of the blended cooperative learning model, and analyze students' perceptions about the application of the cooperative blended learning model. Quantitative and qualitative research methods were used together with 91 subjects as participants in Introduction to Digital Systems academic year 2018/2019. Data was collected by tests, questionnaires, observations and video recordings. The results showed that the student learning outcomes were in the sufficient category. Students showed a positive perception of the implementation of the blended cooperative learning model, but they still need more encouragement to be more independent in learning.

The Use of Blended Cooperative Learning Model in Introduction to Digital Systems Learning

Skepticism and learning difficulties in a digital environment at the Bachelor's and Master's levels: are preconceptions valid?

[English]: This article aims to critically review researches on characters and values in mathematics teaching and learning. Data for the review was the research articles authored by Indonesian mathematics education researchers and published in the online peer-review journals. The articles were searched in national scientific databases, DOAJ, and Google Scholar. The searches resulted in forty articles which aim to develop students' character and values through mathematics lesson. Five steps, i.e., text interpretation, coding, analysis, discussion, and reconsideration, are employed to analyze the articles qualitatively. The review reveals the articles lack of theoretical basis in the conceptualization of character/values, the development of character/values, and their measurement. Twenty-six articles on character did not define the notion clearly; meanwhile, the other articles only cite some definitions, but no operational definition was made. Character is a multifaceted construct which requires an operational definition to measure its development. In developing character and values, various strategies were utilized, but the most authors have not addressed theoretical analysis and rationale on their feasibility and relations the conceptualization of the notions. All articles did not provide any explanation on whether the instruments used were developed with respect to the nature of character or values development and fulfill psychometric properties. In this case, we argue that the researches were unfocused and not extensive. In this article, related theories and prior works are thoroughly discussed to shed light on the researching topics. Further research which relates to character education program in Indonesia is also elaborated. Keywords: Review, Character, Values, Mathematic teaching
[Bahasa]: Artikel ini bertujuan mengulas secara kritis penelitian terkait karakter dan nilai dalam pembelajaran matematika. Data untuk ulasan merupakan artikel hasil penelitian yang ditulis oleh peneliti pendidikan matematika Indonesia dan diterbitkan di jurnal daring yang sudah melalui ulasan sejawat. Artikel dicari melalui basis data ilmiah nasional, DOAJ, dan Google Scholar. Pencarian menghasilkan 40 artikel yang bertujuan membangun karakter dan nilai siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika. Artikel dianalisis secara kualitatif melalui lima langkah yaitu interpretasi teks, penyusunan kode, analisis, diskusi, dan pertimbangan kembali. Ulasan menunjukkan bahwa artikel tersebut memiliki kekurangan dasar teoritis dalam konseptualisasi karakter/nilai, pengembangan karakter/nilai, dan aspek pengukuran. Dua puluh enam artikel yang membahas karakter tidak mendefinisikan istilah tersebut dengan jelas, sedangkan artikel yang lain hanya mengutip beberapa definisi tetapi tidak membuat definisi operasional. Karakter memiliki makna yang bervariasi sehingga membutuhkan definisi operasional untuk mengukur perkembangan pada diri siswa. Dalam mengembangkan karakter dan nilai, beragam strategi digunakan tetapi kebanyakan penulis tidak menjelaskan analisis teoritis and rasionalisasi kenapa strategi tersebut dapat digunakan dan berkaitan dengan konseptualisasi karakter/nilai. Semua artikel tidak memberikan penjelasan apakah instrumen yang dikembangkan sesuai dengan karakteristik perkembangan karakter atau nilai dan memenuhi kriteria psikometri. Dalam hal ini, penelitian terkait karakter/nilai tersebut belum fokus dan berskala kecil. Dalam artikel ini, beberapa teori yang relevan dan hasil penelitian sebelumnya dijelaskan secara mendalam untuk memberikan arah penelitian topik tersebut. Penelitian lebih lanjut yang berkaitan dengan program pendidikan karakter di Indonesia juga dibahas.

Characters and values in mathematics teaching and learning: A review of research in Indonesia

This study aims to describe the implementation of reversing classes assisted by the learning management system (LMS) for numerical method subjects. The research method used was a combination method (mix method). The mix method model used in the study is a concurrent triangulation model. The subjects of this study were 58 students of the Computer Science Education Study Program FKIP Lambung Mangkurat University who took numerical method courses, 29 from class A and 29 from class B. The research data collection used was tested instruments, observations, and questionnaires. The results show that the flipped classroom implementation in the numerical method can increase the activity of students. It also improves the mastery/ competency of students in solving problems, and it is known that class B who learns to use teaching materials in the form of text and video is more active and able to understand the material well than class A students who learn using text only. The average value of each class B pre-test and the formative test is better than class A, but the students in class A and class B are still less accustomed to independent learning by working on the practice questions that have been given. The Implementation of Flipped Classroom Assisted by Learning Management System for Numerical Method Courses

Matematika adalah mata pelajaran yang memiliki peranan penting dalam pendidikan. Pendidikan sekarang ini sebaiknya lebih memperhatikan perilaku siswa sehingga siswa dapat mengembangkan karakter yang baik. Usia-usia remaja pada saat menempuh pendidikan di SMP/MTs sangat rentan dengan perilaku yang menyimpang, untuk itu perlu ditanamkan karakter perilaku sejak dini. Mandiri merupakan salah satu nilai pendidikan karakter yang diprogramkan oleh Depdikbud. Diperlukan suatu model pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan karakter mandiri siswa sehingga hasil belajar siswa pun meningkat. Salah satu alternatif model pembelajaran yang di nilai efektif dalam meningkatkan karakter mandiri adalah model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share (TPS). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan karakter mandiri dan hasil belajar siswa melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS. Penelitian ini dirancang dan dilaksanakan menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas sebanyak dua siklus. Setiap  siklus terdiri dari empat kali pertemuan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII-C SMP Negeri 13 Banjarmasin tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 yang berjumlah 30 siswa. Objek penelitian adalah karakter mandiri siswa dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi SPLDV. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Pencapaian nilai karakter mandiri dalam proses pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan model kooperatif tipe TPS cenderung meningkat, dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan pencapaian nilai karakter mandiri selama dua siklus menunjukkan kualifikasi karakter Menjadi Kebiasaan (MK) sebesar 6,67%. Hasil belajar siswa setelah mengikuti proses pembelajaran matematika juga meningkat dari siklus I termasuk dalam kualifikasi baik menjadi amat baik pada siklus II.

Students' self-regulation learning ability in learning algebraic forms in wetland context with the help of interactive multimedia

After the pandemic, people began to adjust to the changes during the pandemic. The rapid progress and development of information and technology are now entering the world of education. Information technology has begun to be widely used to support the smooth running of the teaching and learning process, one of which is to support student learning outcomes. This study aimed to determine the differences in student learning outcomes in the control and experimental classes by considering students' learning motivation. This type of research is an experimental study with a 2×2 factorial design. Discrete mathematics learning outcomes for even-semester students in 2021/2022 will be grouped based on learning media (PowerPoint and Kahoot) and student motivation (high and low). To find out the differences in student learning outcomes, a 2-way ANOVA test was carried out using SPSS. The results of this study show significant differences in student learning outcomes between students with high learning motivation and those with low learning motivation. There is no significant difference in learning outcomes between Kahoot learning media and PowerPoint learning media. Then it is known that other factors affect student concentration; namely, an interaction between learning media and learning motivation influences students' learning outcomes. The Kahoot media was proven to make the learning atmosphere more fun during the learning activities. Students were more active in participating in the learning process.
