TL;DR: Simple polymers that instruct different immunological responses by modulating macrophage attachment and polarization to pro-inflammatory or anti-inflammatory phenotypes are identified and readily translatable into immune-instructive biomaterials for application in the medical device and regenerative medicine fields.
