Adsorption and fluorescence quenching of 5,5′-disulfopropyl-3,3′-dichlorothiacyanine dye on gold nanoparticles
Ana Vujačić,Vesna Vodnik,Sofija P. Sovilj,Miroslav D. Dramićanin,Nataša Bibić,Slobodan K. Milonjić,Vesna Vasić +6 more
TL;DR: Investigation of the adsorption of negatively charged cyanine dye 5,5′-disulfopropyl-3,3′-dichlorothiacyanine on the surface of borate capped gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) with average core sizes of 6 and 10 nm found it to be quantitatively related to the surface coverage of AuNPs by TC molecules.

Multilevel-cascade intensity ratio temperature read-out of Dy3+ luminescence thermometers
TL;DR: In this article , a multi-cascade LIR (McLIR) was proposed to overcome the sensitivity limit of Boltzmann's thermometers by utilization of seven thermalized Dy 3+ excited states in the Lu 1.5 Y 1·5 Al 5 O 12 host.

Up-conversion luminescence in Ho3+ and Tm3+ co-doped Y2O3:Yb3+ fine powders obtained through aerosol decomposition
TL;DR: In this article, fine yttrium oxide powders doped with Yb3+ and co-doped either with Tm3+ or Ho3+ were synthesized via spray pyrolysis at 900°C using 0.1 M nitrate precursor.
