Relative Efficacy of Spironolactone, Eplerenone, and cAnRenone in patients with Chronic Heart failure (RESEARCH): a systematic review and network meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials
Lutz Frankenstein,Svenja Seide,Tobias Täger,Katrin Jensen,Hanna Fröhlich,Andrew L. Clark,Mirjam Seiz,Hugo A. Katus,Paul Nee,Lorenz Uhlmann,Huseyin Naci,Dan Atar +11 more
TL;DR: It is found that there is no significant and systematic superiority of either MRA regarding efficacy toward all endpoints considered in both direct and indirect comparisons.

READY: relative efficacy of loop diuretics in patients with chronic systolic heart failure-a systematic review and network meta-analysis of randomised trials.
TL;DR: No significant superiority of either loop diuretic with respect to mortality and safety endpoints is found, however, clinicians may prefer torasemide, as it was associated with fewer HF-related hospitalisations and there was a trend towards benefits with torasenide with regard to occurrence of acute renal failure.

Comparative effectiveness of loop diuretics on mortality in the treatment of patients with chronic heart failure – A multicenter propensity score matched analysis
Tobias Täger,Hanna Fröhlich,Morten Grundtvig,Mirjam Seiz,Dieter Schellberg,Kevin Goode,Syed Kazmi,Torstein Hole,Hugo A. Katus,Dan Atar,John G.F. Cleland,John G.F. Cleland,Stefan Agewall,Andrew L. Clark,Lutz Frankenstein +14 more
TL;DR: In patients with HF, mortality is not affected by the choice of individual loop diuretic choice, and the results were confirmed in subgroup analyses with respect to age, sex, left ventricular ejection fraction, NYHA functional class, cause of HF, rhythm, and systolic blood pressure.
